This is a family and community place. I have been eating at Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop since we moved to Gardena in 1972. I love this place. They make the best chashu since Tin Sing Restaurant closed. I love their chashu and eggs. My husband loves their Hawaiian Royal. Their egg foo young is like my mother's - more eggs... More

Not sure what the rave I'd all about but the food here is very disappointing. On first visit I ordered the hamburger steak. Frozen patties...rubbery....not a fan. On 2nd visit...I ordered the oxtail soup...the meat was tough and rubbery....I sent it back. I don't think I will ever come back.

This hole in the wall restaurant specializes in Japanese Hawaiian food. I grew up down the street from this place and "locals" frequent this place because of the good food at affordable prices. Ambiance is minimal at best, but don't shy away from here because of this or the location inside of a bowling alley. I remember eating here in... More

Awesome. Bacon fried rice and. Miso soup. Gardena bowl was established in 1949. Coffee shop came later. Many Hawaiian islander transplants moved into gardena and the coffee house menu reflected the local island delicacies we grew up enjoying. Today there are many that come from great distances to enjoy the island grinds.

Some of my Asian friends were going to Gardena Bowl for a few sets after work. Since I've never been, I checked it out online. The Cafe seemed very popular, with a menu that needed help in translating. I had the Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice, which besides being the size of a double order, had real kimchi in it, with... More

My daughter and her husband were going to be bowling and suggested that we come down and have dinner with them at the coffee shop attached. Well, we sure didn't expect very much. But were we surprised! This little place is a "find". The menu is largely Asian -- really Hawaiian -- and everything looked wonderful. We had a special... More

It's a local dive, but if you like Hawaiian and Japanese type dishes, such has teriyaki steak and chicken, shrimp tempura, this is a good place. Food service is fast, prices very reasonable. The bacon fried rice is reallllyyyy good, and they give a lot. I always order the Hawaiian Royal; portugese sausage, eggs, onion mix on a bed of... More

Since I don't bowl much anymore, I don't really come down to Gardena Bowl much these days. When I was in a league (many moons ago), a group of us would stop at the coffee shop to grab a bite to eat. I have always been a fan of their teri-beef and when you add chashu (BBQ pork) or tempura... More
