$12/pp for unlimited mimosa/champagne. Bargain! It doesn't hurt that their breakfast burritos, lobster omelet were also excellent. They even customized it for you. I wanted the flexibility of the make-your-own burrito, but didn't want all the carbs with the tortillas. The waitress was happy to make a bowl for me with tortillas on the side. Extremely nice and friendly staffs.... More

All of their food is very good. However, they have the best Taco Tuesday. Great price and great flavor. They also have great variety - Carnitas, Chicken, Carne Asada, fish and shrimp. The latter two can be grilled, breaded or Cajun Style. They also have excellent cocktails amidst a strong Happy Hour menu.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Fullerton, the goal of Matador Cantina (according to its website) is to create “a fusion of traditional and contemporary Mexican-inspired cuisine.” The entrance to the restaurant is off a parking lot that you can enter from Amerige Avenue between Harbor Boulevard and Malden Avenue. There is a pleasant ambience to the restaurant with... More

Found place on trip advisor. We almost left the place was really dark, dirty, dusty, floor and tables sticky. Bartender really nice told us to seat ourselves anywhere. We decided to stay I worried some of the family wouldn't eat. Margaritas were great, then came the food. True to the reviews it was fabulous. Not your same old stuff. Flavors... More

This is a very nice place to dine with a good variety of mexican favorites. They have opened a new section, and is the only restaurant in Fullerton that offers a full Tequila tasting. Enjoy!

This isn't just standard Mexican food, although you can get that. They have some creative menu items that are really fantastic!

Nothing beats Saturday morning mimosas on a patio. Compliment your breakfast beverage of choice with your favorite people and some delicious breakfast items and you've got yourself a moment to remember. Comfortable atmosphere, great food and attentive service- Matador Cantina has it all. A perfect place for my cousins birthday brunch. Parking was a challenge, but not impossible- definitely worth... Our office is not too far away from downtown Fulleton, so we have gone to Matador for lunch on a few occasions. This is Mexican Fusion cuisine. Usually service is good--lunchtime is not a time in which the restaurant is full, but it is not empty either--and the food is good too. I have three favorites off of their lunch... More

We went here for our first taco Tuesday, they have great specials. Tacos are cheap but really good! I had the pollo and the shredded pork, I preferred the pollo over the pork taco. My husband had one calimari and one shrimp, he said both were equally good. The service was great! I would get there early, we arrived at... More

Description
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Fullerton, the Matador Cantina offers a fresh fusion of traditional and contemporary Mexican-inspired cuisine, as well as a full bar with premium tequilas and signature Margaritas. In addition to fresh house-made sangria, the Matador also features a boutique selection of Spanish, Californian, and South American wines. Guests may dine in cozy leather booths and traditional high-top seating in the main bar/dining area, or in the lounge with wraparound leather banquette, lounge tables and cushion ottomans. Exposed historic brick walls, hand-made wrought iron chandeliers, and an impressive candle-lit wall creates a warm and decidedly intimate ambiance. Original oil-on-canvas paintings and a magnificent iron bullhead statuette further hint to the space’s extraordinary décor. Ample and convenient parking located at the rear of the restaurant off Commonwealth Avenue. Open for Lunch, Dinner, Brunch, and late night.
