One of the most downtown bakeries in the West County. Great pastries, breads, etc. unavailable anywhere else (far as I know). prepared with spirit and pride, devilishly aromatic - I was raised in N.Y.C. and I'm thrilled I had the pleasure of living among the best bakeries and pizzerias east of vienna (and naples), and now I live in Monte... We accidentally passed this place while driving and smelled this amazing smell yards away. We got the olive bread with lots of Olives but that have a wide variety and they come out fresh within minutes.

Beautiful artisan breads, savory or sweet, worth the drive. In fact, the drive is as good as the bread.

If you have ever wondered where all the 60's hippies went, they went into the bread business in Freestone. The only way you can find this place is if you intentionally want to go. It's off the main road and I think they like it that way. The bread is to die for and we always buy at least two... More

Wild flour has amazing bread and scones. There can be a wait at peak times but it is so worth it. I regularly drive out to Freestone just to get bread and scones for the ride back. Definitely worth the drive and wait!

Yum, yum, yum. Simply amazing and worth all the hype and the lines. Go early and prepare to wait. Everything looks and smells amazing. I would destination drive back up to Freestone simply to enjoy more of their amazing baked goods. There is something for everyone rating from bread, to savory baked goods to incredible sweet treats for breakfast. The... More

Have been going to this bakery for years and just love it. The sticky buns are to die for, these are not some gooie crap that you get at the mall, but real food, well lets not call them health food! The bread is tasty and crusts are hard and tasty. I love the ginger biscotti it wonderful. The only... More

Yes there can be lines at peak Saturday and Sunday times but it's so worth it. And besides, standing in line and chatting up other baked goods lovers is part of the experience. Take the kids cuz the garden is a joy unto itself. Yes the sticky buns, yes the olive batard, yes to whatever Jed and the gang cook... More

If you are in Sonoma County, especially west County, you would be making a grievous mistake not to take in this unique, artisan bakery, if only to have one of the free samples of their cinnamon bun. (But be warned, if you by one, it is enough for a family of 6; you won't finish it w/ a cup of... More
