I'm not a ramen expert, but when I've had my fair share of ramen bowls from thick to thin (soup). Shin sem gumi sets the standard for my bowls every time without a doubt. 💯 I'm kinda lazy so let's just combine all the main topic into one. You enter a shaft that welcomes you with enthusiasm and a tasty... More

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen-Fountain Valley has some of the best ramen around. The only drawback is the long hour wait every time. I guess that makes a restaurant good sometimes, prolonging the hunger of customers. I love the broth here and the option to keep stuffing your face with noodles for a dollar more. All the toppings are amazing, just make... More

Short wait, service slow, app gyoza came out after noodles which kind of defeated the purpose. Wish you could get dinner items earlier. 6pm for tempura is odd. Soup is fantastic, extra noodles and soup for small charge is great for big eaters or some to take home. Don't recommend for larger parties. Best for two unless you don't mind... More

Yes it's a little wait both sides but I hardly go to the ramen side, I enjoy the inviting atmosphere on the yakatori side, they have specials all thru the week. Very good prices for assorted fresh variety yakatori sticks. Please try there foie gras n of course to end the night there green tea creme brûlée

when we saw a line outside, we looked it up and had to write our names down. Very basic but very very good. With the greeting and manners of the staff, you feel like you're in Japan Must try!!

A very upbeat atmosphere, food is fantastic. Gotta love the cabbage with beer. it can get pricey if you order to much, without paying attention.

We had a few lunches there but today was our first dinner because we were discouraged a few times in the past seeing the long wait list. We ordered a few items available for dinner only (fried green beans, minced tuna & scallion on rice, wasabi octopus). The green beans were just OK, a little too oily. Wasabi octopus was... More

First WARNING this place is popular and you will wait in line! One side is ramen only the other yakitori and robata. If you are alone tell the person in charge of seating this is so. Your wait will be greatly reduced if you say you want to sit at the counter, I have had many items in the menu.... More
