I have been a fan since they opened originally in San Diego. I stick to the original fish tacos.....just love them. I was so happy when they branched out throughout California. When I find one, I go!!

On a long car trip we pulled over to a mall in an unknown town just N of San Francisco and saw a cheerful open restaurant where we enjoyed VERY good salads. Large Mexican salads to which we added protein (He chicken, I mahi mahi)). Our salads were made of a variety of fresh greens, chopped tomatoes, corn, little chip... More

We come here for the great shrimp tacos and burritos. The atmosphere is good, great food, and great customer service. Never had a bad experience. They also have really yummy fish tacos and meat burritos.

On a first trip to Sacramento from our home in Maine, we stopped during the drive from San Francisco for a quick lunch in Fairfield. By luck - or by dint of Ms. TwoInMaine's "road radar" - we found Rubio's in a shopping mall, and stayed for nearly an hour eating really good, made-as-you-order-by-cooks-in-full-view, quick (but not "fast") food. Don't... More

Love the fish tacos and get them every time I go to Rubios! The original fish tacos are fried but they also come in several types of grilled fish.

We fell in love with Rubios in Phoenix earlier this year. This Rubios is good. It's pretty clean and the staff is friendly. The food presentation was a little different than Phoenix but close to what I expected. A little light on the avocado and pinto beans instead of black beans.

First visit was very good if a bit slow. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Dining room plain but clean. Went back for Fish Taco Tuesday, $1.75. Ordered four to go and it took forever. I had to go up and ask if they forgot about my order. It was busy but not enough to... More

Hugh Fan of Rubio's Fresh California Mexican Grill Grilled Fish Tacos. I've been working at Travis AFB for 6 months and Rubio's is on my regular rotation for lunch and dinner. I go here at least twice a week. The grilled Mahi Mahi fish taco is my favorite; blackened is good, but the regular gets less dried out than the... More

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
