My Nephew were in town and needed a lunch spot. I pulled out my Trip Advisor App and had just got done saying I wish they had a Native Foods here and bing it was the first restaurant on my app. This is a larger one than the one I am used to in Newport Beach. I ordered a Chicken... More

Native Foods Cafe is my go-to restaurant. Everything on the menu is vegan, but the food is so good that even my meat-eating friends love to go there. Incredible sandwiches & wraps, bowls, salads and sides. They have a rewards program with lots of special deals. Staff is friendly, food is great, and it's always a joy to eat there.

Every time I visit San Diego (or Chicago), I go to Native Foods. It is such a wonderful feeling to eat really good food that is not only healthier than it's traditional meat serving counterpart, but no animals suffered from me eating it. Having been a vegetarian since 1995, the one thing I miss is a corned beef sandwich. The... More

Died and went to vegan heaven. Had the curry bowl. It said with tofu steak. That might be a stretch but the way they cook the tofu was to die for. My husband had the soy chorizo, sweet spud, rice bowl. We stay in Solana Beach every year and will go here every time. Very near to Del Mar. Take... More

A friend who's been here before, recommended we have lunch today. When I think of vegetarian cuisine, I think "I'll be hungry." Not so! I couldn't even finish my dish (Thai meatball earth bowl). My friend had the Native Chopped Salad. Both dishes were huge, and the flavors were yummy. I'll definitely be back.

I have previously given Native an excellent rating but am now withdrawing that rating and replacing it with a poor rating. My last visit with my wife we noticed they made some changes to the menu and those changes were for the worse. The nachos used to be a large portion with humus cheese, fresh sliced jalapeños, fresh corn, and... More

This place didn't really make a wow impression. Food was fresh but didn't really blow us away. An average fare.

I love this place. I go often, sometimes twice a week, or more. I thought I was being healthy. Lately it has been brought to my attention that most of their protein substitutions are Gluten, and while I don't have gluten intolerance, I don't believe this is a health option per say.

I ordered the Bangkok curry bowl with veggies and rice topped with a tofu steak strips. Very nice and freshly cooked. Curry was subtle and not overwhelming. The blue berry hibiscus tea was wonderful and did not need sweetening. I did add a little bit if chili sauce to add some heat. Very friendly service. I had a hard time... More
