I visited wally cafe back in June 2016! What a little gem hiding behind the main San Pablo Avenue in Emeryville. We were on our way to Ikea, and stopped here for lunch! I need to go back for some delicious middle eastern food!!! Staff was friendly and warm. We sat at the bar and got served soup of the... More

Oh my what a surprise. This restaurant is so off the beaten path and unexpected. We had trouble finding it, but luckily for us there were two women crossing get the street that knew right where it was. The restaurant is in the back of a bar, but has it's own entrance. The restaurant has a large counter seating. You... More

This place serves wonderful, home-cooked Mediterranean food. The baba ganoush is smokey eggplant perfection. The kebabs are juicy and plentiful. The falafel is light & fluffy. Best of all, every entree comes with the best lentil soup I ever had (no kidding, I have to find out how they build the flavor) and baklava!

Really, if you were walking up the street, odds are that you'd pass by without noticing it there unless you have a good sense of smell. There are two entrances to Wally's Cafe, and neither grab your attention. Best option is to go into and though a dive bar called "Bank Club" (I believe). At the very back of the... More

Visiting family, looked for a quick casual lunch spot. GREAT spot for lunch, dinner, whathaveyou. Some of the best Lebanese food ever. Shawarma, dolmas, babaganoush, lentil soup. Yes yes yes. The whipped garlic garnish was unbelievable. More please. Do yourself a favor, eat here now!

Wally's in tucked in behind a bank/bar and is your best bet for low key, low ambiance, high quality food with like-minded folks.

Hidden treasure. We were nearby and stop to have dinner. We ask for Falafel plate which came with hummus, salad and pita. While we wait for our main course, they offer us an entree of lentils & rice soup. And to finish... Baclava! Excelent & tasty food, fast service and reasonable price. Must visit if you like mediterranean food.

Go here. Seriously, it's awesome. As soon as you sit down you get lentil soup and at the end of your meal you get home made baklava (the best I have ever had!) for free! The Greek food is delicious but plot twist the Cheeseburger is the best I've had. And as a bonus Wally, the owner, and his family... More
