Good pizza

Just looking at the menu, you can see that eating a pizza here is quite an expensive experience, so I think you shouldn't complain about it in a review. The principle of supply and demand also applies in El Portal 😉 We ordered four medium pizzas and were happy with the size and taste. Soft drinks are available with free refills. There are a few tables outside where you can sit quite comfortably. The service is nice. If we come here again, the four of us would share two large pizzas.

Very good pizza

We ate here twice whilst staying at Yosemite View Lodge (the hotel that this restaurant is located at). The pizzas are REALLY good, they are expensive in my opinion (about $25 once you add a few toppings) but there are very limited options in the area. We tried a pepperoni pizza one evening and a pesto chicken the next. The staff are helpful and they offer unlimited refills on soft drinks and all the condiments you could want. There is also a nice outdoor seating area which we ate at one evening and the other we took the pizza back to our room balcony. I would definitely suggest eating here over the restaurant next door.

Convenient, with pretty decent pizza

Located at the Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal, Parkside Pizza is one of two dining options at the hotel (which represent the only food service available within several miles). We dined here once during our stay. Following an active day of hiking in Yosemite, my wife and I rewarded ourselves by ordering a veggie pizza, which we definitely enjoyed. The toppings tasted fresh, the sauce was pleasantly mild and the crust was both crisp and chewy. Moreover, the service I received was friendly and helpful. There’s no getting around the fact that Parkside Pizza and The River Restaurant and Lounge have a monopoly on the local dining scene and can charge higher-than-average prices. The River is definitely pricey for what you receive; the prices at Parkside Pizza are a little higher than the norm, but of the two eateries Parkside Pizza is definitely the more affordable way to feed a family.

Calling it a pizzeria is an insult to pizzerias! The only advantages are: abundant condiments that help after walking in the park, the drinks fountain (you only pay once and you can fill it up at will) and low prices given the location. Closes at 8.30pm

Good pizza onsite at Yosemite View Lodge

Nice pizza base and toppings. We shared a large between a family of 4 being 3 slices each. Cost about $32 for a large. No frills kind of cafe indoors, outdoor seating. Eat out of the box or on disposable plates with plastic cutlery.

Pizza is decent and service is excellent. For this area- you can't be choosy. There are not really that many food options around so with that said. This is decent (a bit greasy) and I was impressed with the service. After a long day of hiking it is nice to treat yourself to some pizza. I loved that you could customize your pizza and select the toppings you want on it.

Good Pizza

Since we were staying at the Yosemite View Lodge for multiple nights we ate here on our second night. The pizza was quite good and even though they seemed fairly busy we did not have to wait too long for our order. We did come a little bit early in the evening though - since this place and the restaurant next door are the only two choices unless you want to drive for quite a way, they can both get busier as the evening wears on. The prices were also very reasonable considering there is really not any competition in this area.

by staying at Yosemite View Lodge, you do not have many choices to eat. Basically, you have two choices. So, I picked the pizza place. There was a delay in ordering as the lady did not know how to operate the cash register. Once, that was resolved, I got my house pizza which was essentially almost all meat. I was surprised with the taste which was quite good.

Delicious pizza and great value. Plenty of cheese and other toppings make it pretty scrumptious. We ordered it to go and brought it next-door to our room at the blue butterfly inn where we enjoyed it on our deck overlooking the river.

Really good pizza!

I was surprised to find that the pizza was as good as it was! Often when there are very few options the quality tends to be lacking as they know they have a captive audience. My son and I stayed nearby and went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was quite good, service prompt and friendly, and we were eating within 15 minutes! We were glad for the leftovers that were still good reheated the next day.

Good deal considering this is the only option in town

Staying at Yosemite View Lodge for a weeklong visit to the Yosemite National Park. Due to COVID-19 the restaurant is closed. The pizza place is pretty much the only option if you don't want to cook. We called in our order one night and we were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was ready for pick up in 15 minutes. It was still piping hot by the time we brought it back to the room. We had the House Special and it was covered with toppings. The flavor was great. Overall it was very satisfying after a good day of hiking in the park. I am pleasantly surprised with the efficiency and quality given this is the only dinner option in town.

The house pizza was very good, and kids said cheese pizza was, also. Nice house salad. Staff was super friendly. Generous portions. Pizza does not have a lot of sauce, so order some extra if that is your thing.

I did not expect so good quality of pizza in small place located far from cities. But it was really good. We combined two type of pizza in one. The place has a nice outdoor patio where you can enjoy your dinner with pizza and beer.

Some of the best pizza I have had in a long time

With the Covid crisis in full bloom, my wife and I didn't want to hit the restaurant and instead opted for a takeout pizza. Ernie was the person at the counter and he was very helpful, professional, and pleasant. The pizza was wonderful and was one of the best that I have had in a long time.

We we’re staying at Yosemite View Lodge which is restaurant is located at. It was amazing pizza and served hot and fresh. Good beer too. Nice staff and outdoor and indoor areas to eat.
