Cute out of the way place. Delicious lunch with husband, daughter and granddaughter. Prime rib was prefect and super tender. Daughter had a delicious looking salad. Grandaughter choice was a great hamburger. Service was quick and efficient and friendly. The dessert menu looked delicious. No one had dessert. Lunch plate was large. We recommend. daisyCalifornia

My wife and I have eaten here twice recently and were very impressed with the great steaks, chops and sides. The Rib-Eye and Prime Rib selections are special favorites which are served in incredible cuts of Prime Beef that are perfectly cooked to order and served hot off the grill. Salads, potatoes and vegetables are all well-prepared to accompany the... More

Nothing fancy about this restaurant but the food is great with friendly staff. It was located 5 minutes from our B&B so the convenience after a day of adventure was welcoming!

Lot's of good reviews so we decided to take the 50 minute drive out to give it a try. Beef Dip Sandwich had the most tender beef ever.....but the flavor of the au jus wasn't there at all, so the sandwich had no taste. Fries were the common crispy on the outside regular frozen like many other places offer (somehow... More

The Loading Chute is a local steakhouse in the historic small town of Creston, CA. I have dined there for dinner on a few occasions and have enjoyed the meal, so decided to try it for breakfast with a couple of friends, this past weekend. We arrived around 11:30 on Sunday morning and were seated, after a short wait. We... More

I first had lunch at the Loading Chute in 2012 and thought it was at the edge of civilization. It is. There is nothing but hills and ranches east of Creston for about 80 miles. But now I live on a ranch in Creston 6 miles down the road from the Loading Chute. They serve excellent American food, steak, seafood,... More

Creston is a small community on eastern edge of wine tasting area. This is a clean attractive place with good service. Burgers and salads were primarily what's on the menu for lunch. We had a blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries. No complaints.

We visit the Loading Chute during a wine tasting weekend with friends. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. We sat outside in the patio. The evening was quite warm but still nice. The food was why we brought our friends here. The ribeye was so big, my wife and I shared a meal. Our friends opted... More

Food was fine. Definitely has local flavor and nice patio to enjoy. Lots of space for groups. Was nice to only travel 2 miles to eat one evenings.

Great prime rib and a variety of other options at this longstanding restaurant with lots of local color. Comfortable and homey. We all enjoyed our meals!
