For my money, this is the best Happy Hour in town - great drink specials and dicounted appetizers matched with a staff that is friendly, enthusiastic and attentive. Dinner is tasty here as well.

This was our first time here and with the COVID 19 restrictions in place, weren't expecting much. The chili relleno with mole sauce was rather bland and the shredded beef enchilada was OK. The chile colorado had a deep flavorful red sauce, but the chunks...of pork were large and there was quite a bit of fat on some pieces. Margarita's were very good and the service attentive and friendly. I think reviews at this time are very subjective and truly believe restaurants are doing their best to survive during these times and would definitely re-review once things get back to normal, however that looks.More
If you want good Mexican food but a step above a taqueria, this is the place. It’s always a confidence boost when there are guests patronizing the establishment from the same origin as the food, and this is the case at Mi Ranchito. A large...variety of regional dishes, consistory well prepared and great service. Get there early because the place is very popular. A full bar and Mariachis on the weekend make it a really fun destination. We will be going again soon.More
Once seated, order a drink, relax and study the menu because what you will find are items that are not found in run of the mill Mexican restaurants...molcajete (recently gaining in popularity),chochinita pibil, mole with assorted dishes, sopa de tortilla etc. The variety offered can boggle...the mind for those with short attention span. Recommended for those with adventurous palate.More
We enjoy going to Mi Ranchito. The tacos are good, the enchiladas as well! Taco Tuesday is on Monday night.
After visiting friends Saturday evening in Santa Rosa we were driving home to East Bay. Not having had dinner we decided to find somewhere to have Mexican food nearby. We googled restraunts and up came Mi Rancho. It was already 9:00 pm and they close...at 10:00 but we were only 5 minutes away. We noticed the restraunt was still very busy but was starting to thin out a little. Being it was so late l was wondering if we would get good service or even good food? The young lady server was very busy at our end of the restraunt but she was hustling. Within threr minutes she had chips and salsa on our table and took our drink order. Since it was so late we decided to eat light and chose their shrimp tacos and shared a side of beans and rice. Once again the young lady was busy but she was taking care of the entire end where we sat and was doing an amazing job with a beautiful smile! Our food came out pretty quickly. The tacos we're street tacos size, with a two tortilla wrap and were simply packed with shrimp! The salsa topping is a bit spicy and Deb asked for hers on the side so she could test it before putting it on her tacos. She found it a little too spicy but l quickly added it to my tacos as l prefer extra spicy. I have to tell you all that we are Mexican food snobs. We do NOT like non authentic food. Now with the first bite into our tacos our eyes lit up and our taste buds came alive. The shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing!!! The beans and rice are very good also and their style of salsa is lightly spicy and extremely delicious. We were a little dehydrated on our trip so we chose water for our drinks even though they do have a full bar. We do however like a healthy slice of lemon in our water. Without asking for a large lemon slice our server added one and when we got a refill she brought us additional fresh lemon without being asked. Overall the service was perfect and the food delisciously amazing!!! Mi Rancho is now on our hot spot list and I promise that whenever we are in the area we will be eating at Mi Rancho! Bud & DebMore
Best Mexican food in the county in my opinion. The house made Margarita is the bomb and only $3 during happy hour.
Had brunch today at Mi Ranchito in Cotati and was surprised how delicious everything was from the Chile Rellano to the Fish Taco. Chips and salsa are complimentary to every meal and there is a salsa bar where you can sample a variety of salsas...including salsa verde. Service was stellar. When we arrived we were the only customers and within forty-five minutes the place was packed. My friend enjoyed her Chorizo Burrito and they acommodated her request to include potatos in her burrito. I loved my bowl of whole cooked pinto beans and a little pyramid of mexican rice all ordered from an extensive menu.More
Looking forward to good food and drink in an outside setting. Mi Ranchito has all three. A little windy when we were there and my friend chose to sit at the cantina area. Perfect spot not to busy and easy to order and get our...beers. The 3 tacos with 3 different meats were great. The size and shells with meat were just right. Macho burrito was almost macho and part of buritto went home in a to go box. Lots of draft handles. We were drinking modelo especial on draft. Perfect day.More
We have came here many times and always have had great food, service and great drinks. There is a variety of menu items, sometimes they have mariachis, and theres taco Monday’s! Always a great experience!
It is a shame when one person drops the ball. I actually liked this place. It was my first time here, and was impressed with the menu. Great choices, easy to read. What a bummer that it took forever to get my fish tacos, and...when they arrived everything was barely luke warm. I get it... there are lots of moving parts in a restaurant, but someone clearly dropped the ball. No apologies, just a long wait and room temperature rice, beans and cooked fish. Oh well. I think I will come back and try it again another time.More
I love this place. Walking distance from home and where else can you get a $3.50 margarita and a happy hour that goes from 3-7?? This is one of my favorite spots in Cotati, try anything, even the ribs! It is all good!
Lots of parking. Easy on/off 101. Incredibly fast service. Lots of hispanics eating here. Good sign. Lots of seating, including a bunch outside. Chips were fine, good salsa, quite spicy. Reasonable prices. Full bar. Camarones a la Diabla is very good. Quite spicy as you'd...expect, but a nice tomato sauce underneath it as I prefer, rather than just being spicy. A large number of sizable prawns. Will order again. Wife had three tacos and while they were all good, she preferred the Carne Asada which she said was very good. The Chile Verde wasn't that great. Shrimp was fine.More
Stopped in on Amanda's recommendation of "great margaritas!" True. What a variety! All flavors and sizes, drink combinations... Oh, had a great chicken tamale with red mole sauce, a la carte. Good time!
Phenomenal food and drinks at an amazing value. The only reason I did not give a five star rating is the overwhelmed staff. The place is so busy, the employees struggle at times to keep up with everything. Sooner or later, you will suffer the...results of an understaffed business, but it is not that bad. I recommend management consider staff size as it relates to peak hours.More
