Authentic English fish n' chips at reasonable prices. Not much ambiance, but the fish and shrimp well makes up for that. The Cornish pasties, sausage rolls (bangers on a bun) etc. are truly a GB original, and are mouth watering out of the oven. Getting hungry just thinking about the place......

This Restaurant is a great value for your money, and is as well a very tasty little fish shop. I had the 3 piece Shrimp,1 Fish & Chips Meal, it was great! Not greasy, just yummy. The Counter Staff are also very pleasant. Small Shop, but a nice place to unwind after a long day with some very flavorful fish,... More

Its been a long time since I've seen an H-Salt Fish and Chips but they used to have both great fish sandwiches and some of the best fried onion rings. Well Union Jack Fish & Chips has both without the need to go very far if your in Costa Mesa or Newport Beach. This location is small and unremarkable for... More

Always a bit skeptical when trying the second location of a restaurant. No worries here! Even though the restaurant is nothing fancy and fairly small, they cook up fabulously light and crunchy battered fish, real chips (not those shoestring kind) and a generous portion for an inexpensive price. The short wait is well worth it and you can browse the... More

This little café at 333 E. 17th St. in Costa Mesa serves freshly cooked fish and chips to rival those available in England. The ambiance is small, but there is room for 24 shelves of products usually available in small English stores: think puddings, frozen pasties, chocolate bars with honeycomb centers, etc. It's only a few miles inland from Newport... Found this little gem through online reviews. Well worth the drive up from Dana Point, and the wait for freshly prepared food -- just wish there was more seating. If you live within 15 minutes get it to go. Best fish & chips I've had in years - crispy batter, not soggy. Just enough to cover the fish and still... More

This food is lovely, fresh, and inexpensive. My family of four can eat for under $20 and the kids actually eat rather than throw fits about not liking their food! It kind of reminds my American brain of greasy, freshly-fried fair food. The only thing we have ever ordered is fish and chips or fish and shrimp and chips. They... More

We ordered the 2 piece fish n chip dinner and it was really good. It was made to order and the fish and chips were freshly fried. You get 2 very large pieces of pollock and a nice sized basket of fries. We were pleasantly surprised and it was good value for your money.
