The carvery has sandwiches, salads, soups, and full entrees. The BBQ beef was our favorite, but they removed it recently. We now like the roast beef and roast turkey platters. The mac and cheese is probably the best side dish. We also love their bread pudding desert.

Stopped for lunch at the Carvery, a challenge to find if you are not familiar with the South Coast Plaza mall, is located next to Macy's. We are used to the quality of food served at Lawry's in Chicago and was surprised at the quality and lack of taste of the dishes we ordered. We had an apple with gorgonzola... More

I've eaten at this restaurant 3 times, and have had the same experience each time. The signature prime rib sandwich has too much fat. It's disgusting and is not edible. For a place with a name that is synonymous with excellent prime rib, it's surprising that I've had the same negative experience every time I've visited. There are lots of... More

Sure, there are a lot of dishes to pick from in the menu, but, if you are coming to Lawry’s Carvery, the “Lawry´s Prime Rib Original” is a must for your first visit; after trying it, you´ll know what this place is all about. Accompany it with a serving of mashed potatoes and you are in for a real treat.... More

Not as good as the real deal in Beverly Hills, but the food was tasty and filling. The price was a little higher than I expected, but not over the top.

While on a recent visit to Southcoast Plaza, we decided to have lunch here. We had eaten at one of their restaurants a couple of months ago and decided to try their more casual dining venue. After placing your order, you're given a number to take to your table. If you order a drink, it's self serve from one of... More

Came for lunch at 1130 to beat the lunch crowds ... apparently they don't staff for that and I wait fun a line with three other people for ten minutes. The food is simple but tastes great. Lunch cost me $25 for soup sandwich and dessert. I'll come here twice a year or so ... not a "go to" kind... More

To start, I do enjoy Lawry's prime rib and the Tam O'Shanter restaurants and was expecting a positive experience here. The sandwich prices are similar to Tam, but my sandwich anyway, was not similar in value. When it was brought to table, I thought of the old commercial for a fast food hamburger, Where's the beef. Very skimpy for price... More

I usually come here whenever I'm at South Coat Plaza. The food is always fresh, tasty, and consistently good. I've tried most of their salads including the southwest chop, the caesar salad, the turkey cobb and the Lawry's Carver with prime rib. My favorite soup is the beef barley but is not always on the menu. I tried the turkey... More

I was here for lunch while on a shopping trip. I remember from my Chicago days that Lawry's had wonderful portions, great beef and delicious mashed potatoes. So, I ordered the Roast Beef Platter. The meat was dry, they skimped on the gravy and the mashed potatoes seems instant. And this place is not cheap. You order at the counter... More
