If you like good quality bowls of delicious ramen goodness you have to give Santouka a try. They are in most Mitsuwa markets but the one in Costa Mesa has the largest sitting area. Whenever I'm in SoCal I always make a stop.

Best ramen anywhere. Good price. Love double pork salt ramen. Plus egg. Best broth. Comes in 3 sizes. No takeout so go hungry!

As one of the busiest food vendors in the Mitsuwa Market place, Santouka is worth to visit. I've tried all the flavors, but my favorites are Cara Miso Ramen or Miso Ramen. Since the vendor is always busy, try to come at 11 AM, you will not encounter the long queuing of customers and still have time to check the... More

I have grown upon ramen from Japan and California. Everywhere I go I look for a good ramen shop. This one of the best authentic tasting ramen around. I like the spicy miso ramen

Very Good Ramen, very good quality, other than it is in a food court in the Japanese market, it would be the best if it was situated in an independent structure...

I'm certain my review won't add any value to this already popular establishment but I just want to pitch in my $.02. No doubt the ramen here is awesome. The broth is extremely flavorful and hot. They give you a generous portion of chasu. The quality is just top notch. But, I do have some gripes. For instance, if you... More

In the food court and does not look like much. But it's really good! The miso base is one of best I've had. Spicy miso is not too spicy and had good flavor. Kids loved it.

Located in the Mitsuwa Marketplace near South Coast Plaza. Came at 6pm on a Monday so crowds were lighter. Order at the window, get a number and pick up order when your number is called. Take time to scan the menu for the choices can be confusing. We ordered the Shoyu and the Miso ramen. Broth was flavorful but not... More

I understand rules, and am normally fine with following them, but this place just has too many of them. Not only was I rudely told to move two feet to the left to place my order, but was treated like a dog in training while "being served". Good ramen, busy successful place, but the lack of customer service here will... More

It's just yummy. My wife is a Ramen lover... as for me... it's always been good (not the add water kind). This place is better than good. We always order the Spicy Miso Ramen. The broth is rich and fatty (I really doubt it's healthy) with just the right amount of salt (so you don't feel too bloated and swollen... More
