Not only is the view and atmosphere beautiful, they have yummy tacos and drinks. I had the white sangria that was a bit sweet and my husband had a jalapeno margarita that was not just a drink but an experience, a fun experience. Easy going, nice servers.

We go there for the happy hour which lasts most of the day. A great menu, excellent food, good wines & beer and all priced a $5 to $6 dollars. The "regular" menu is quite good, but slightly over priced. The views of San Diego are fantastic.

we stopped for lunch and ate off the happy hour menu. Great portion size for lunch and great tasting food. The service was also excellent, the staff were friendly, happy for you to take your time and gave great recommendations. I had the chicken enchilada which was yummy. Lovely view as well looking across the bay to the SD skyline.

Nice to find a real Mexican restaurant this side of the border, Carne Asada tacos are a must, also try he Tacos al pastor and a delicious Tortilla soup, nice view of San Diego and on Sundays definitely must have a Mimosa, complete the whole experience with a ferry trip from San Diego Bay

When checking into the Del I asked where I could get the best fish tacos on the island and Candelas was place. They serve all kinds of Mexican food and a nice selection of fish tacos. They were the best fish tacos. Fantastic view of the bay and San Diego.

I found the food passable and a little greasy. I don't know what happened here since my last visit. But a least the drinks were good.

Candelas is a " step up " Mexican restaurant. Pretty inside and good service. Have gone there for Happy Hour as well as lunch & dinner . I recommend Candelas .

Great little lunch spot with views of the bay. Fare is upscale Spanish/Mexican food with smaller portions and healthier options. Loved the chips with guacamole and the steak tacos.

Lovely spot to dine outside and enjoy a nice mexican-esque breakfast. The chorizo dishes are tasty and plentiful. The bloody mary's could use some work - ok but not fabulous. While they messed up my order by bringing scrambled vs over easy eggs - they happily recovered and in a blink of time. Service was attentive and courteous. Definitely a... More
