The lamb shanks are awesome. Service was excellent. Enjoyed a piano player during dinner. Very special place for special occasions

Good menu and good value. If you can go for lunch during the week - GO!!! Wonderful sandwich/salad combinations that are really good value. Consistently on the mark. Reliable and a nice place to take out of town guests.

The place to go for a special dinner with your special someone. Food is always good in my experience. Lunch is usually really quiet and a good time to try out this restaurant.

in the past this restaurant has been great; but not this time. reservations were for 12:00 noon for a birthday for my husband. arrived at 11:50 and found no lights on and no one to seat us. Waited about 5 mins before someone came out from kitchen. Our waiter started out taking part of our order, and then ended up... More

Not exactly Italian décor, but it's really about the food. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes and my was OK. I felt the Carbonara was closer to an Alfredo, so not really to my liking. Carbonara is not easy to create, but I just couldn't get into this one. May give it a another try some time in the future.

Our last two visits have been a little disappointing. When the Bistro opened the food was excellent, however, lately the kitchen seems to have slipped a little. The menu is standard high end Italian. Don't look for spaghetti and meatballs! We'll go back again because every restaurant has bad days.

Our out of town party of four went on 7/19/14 for the second time (we were perplexed why our friends wanted to go again after the first time about a year ago). We found the place empty at 4:30pm although the website said they were open without a break in service. The young lady (don't know her name) that arrived... More

In my opinion, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Diablo Valley area (East Bay) of San Francisco. The interior is seductive and gorgeous. The service is great (our server was Miriam). The menu is extensive and the food is always excellent (we have been here 4 or 5 times). On this visit three of us had... More

Have been a frequent visitor to the Bistro since it opened. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and very plentiful. The atmosphere is romantic and employs a pianist which makes the the evening even more special.

Been going to Brava Bistro since it opened. In January the mother of one of the owner/chef came from Casablanca, Morocco and cook and entire 4 course dinner Prix fix at $45. From soup to dessert it was wonderful! They had a few artful belly dancers to entertain throughout the meal. Their regular menu is outstanding and a great full... More
