A ceiling filled with 100's of hats of customers, a special booth at the back with an intriguing "under the sea" theme, great breakfasts, delicious & decadent desserts, outdoor "dog friendly" patio await you. A favorite for locals, travelers and vacationers. Our absolute favorite place for breakfast in Cayucos!

Read about it online and was not disappointed. Great home cooking, busy even for lunch. Loved the local unique atmosphere. A nice selection of comfort food, will definitely come back if in the area. Don't think you can go wrong here.

We have been going to the Sea Shanty for 30 years ! We look forward to our trips to Cayucos, the first place we go to eat is the Shanty. Fish and chips, Red Snapper, Chowder soooo good and the best desserts on the coast !

Everything we had was delicious! The fish was excellent and fresh; the fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was a bit on the slow side though.

We had dinner here on 3-11 and 3-12. We had Teriyaki Sticks both nights. On the 11th, they were AMAZING! The meat was a little rare but tender and juicy. The rice was delicious. We ordered the Chocolate Mousse afterward. I don't know what this dessert was but Mousse was not it! It was not light and whipped, it was... More

While it might seem strange to order a beef sandwich in a place known for its fish, I simply wasn't in the mood for fish the night we were there. I just figured that at its worse, a French dip sandwich would be the most tolerable after a long day of traveling. It was the best decision I could have... More

The staff was super friendly and provided good service, it's just too bad the food wasn't that good. I am always leery of ordering fish and chips but the reviews were very positive. I must have been there on a bad day because the batter was soggy, the fish was dry and there was absolutely no seasoning whatsoever on the... More

One of the few places in town open late, AND the food is good! Desserts are amazing and the artichokes can't be beat.

Visited with a group of 20. It was too windy to sit outside, so we were accommodated inside. The staff was great -- friendly and efficient. The fish and chips were great! The small portion is large.
