Went here for a family lunch after walking around town. The restaurant appears to be in an old house down on Mission. Antiques for tables and chairs, even looks like antique bakeware is used for the baked goods. Some good things to eat here are the crab+shrimp+avocado salad, pate and cheese plate, shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, and the quiche!... More

This is a charming spot for delightful lunch. The staff is attentive and the environment simply delightful. The sandwich offerings are a good lunch choice and the clam chowder is outstanding. Check out the daily lunch specials and you can't go wrong.

After doing a long walk on the beach & Scenic bluff (?), hubby & I were quite hungry, so we stopped here for lunch. He ordered French Onion soup (and actually shared!) & a brioche chicken sandwich, while I ordered the vegetable quiche & fruit. That, but 2 glasses of wine set us back $50, but it was well spent.... This patisserie has a very good French restaurant attached, often overlooked by tourists but beloved by locals. For a decent price, less than some more famous Carmel eateries, you can get a fine meal in a cosy, romantic setting by a fireplace. Try their addictive baked brie appetizer to share -- it comes with a sweet balsamic reduction of carmelized... More

This is a place my girlfriends and I always stop at for lunch when we visit Carmel. It has a good selection of offerings. We especially like the Turkey Sandwich. The Onion Soup and the Quiche Lorraine are good. If you want a special treat, try the Chocolate Pudding. I love chocolate and this was over-the-top delicious. The atmosphere charming... More

The bakery looked awesome! Wish we hadn't already purchased a different one because we would have had a ball picking from their beautiful display of authentic French selections. I had the quiche for brunch and it was delicious and my boyfriend had the salmon, which was wonderful as well. Generous portions, cozy and homey environment. Reasonable prices for Carmel.

Pastries and coffee beverages are the best in Carmel. Dinner is sub-par for the area. Wait staff is friendly and energetic.

We were lucky to arrive early and get the last table before the line outside developed.at 12noon. Charming stylish small dining room, simple table settings. Quiche, soup and crab/croissant sandwich all excellent, generous portions. The only negative for our visit was the bossy tone of the - waitress or owner? - telling us we had to move one of our... We went there for lunch and were very pleased. The house white Burgundy was nice. The Croissant, turkey and cheese was very good but filling. I had the french onion soup which was just like I remember from my days in France. The have a number of home made pastries that all were very inviting.

A relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail, and pastries baked daily on premises. Dining room is available for private dinner parties.
