You can't go wrong with French Onion Soup on a cool day in Carmel, and what a great bowl of soup! The restaurant space is a comfy, warm setting. The baked goods smell wonderful (though I've always been too full from lunch to indulge). This...More

We were staying in nearby Monterey and read the nice reviews. What a fine place for dinner. The service was extremely attentive and excellent. The same can be said for the dishes which were perfectly prepared. What a nice atmosphere as well. And no phones...More

Lucked out finding this beautiful little restaurant while passing through Carmel. Feeling homesick I chose the Shepard's Pie and it was excellent. Super friendly and attentive staff. If I had not been so full after the main course I would have hit the pastry cart,...More

Was invited here for lunch recently by a friend for a special occasion. Was most impressed by the display of pastries on the way in and equally impressed by the variety of dishes on the menu. Onion soup seems to be there signature dish and...More

From the warm welcome by Magdy, the owner, throughout the evening, everything was wonderful. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and pleasant. The food was tasty and attractively presented. We were too full to have dessert, but they tempted us as we entered. Definitely...More

This is one of my favorite places in Carmel to eat. It is quaint, romantic and has excellent food. I go for the Coquilles Saint Jacques. The entrées comes with soup or salad at dinner which is not usually the case in pricey Carmel. And...More

The staff, atmosphere, and patisseries were wonderful, the lunch not so much. The Chicken Pot Pie was very heavy on potatoes and peas, very lite on the chicken. Also, it had a mashed potato top crust rather than pastry and no bottom crust at all,...More

Very nice restaurant. Seating is comfortable. Service is cordial and paced perfectly. Our lunch was delicious and the prices are reasonable given the location. Definitely will revisit.

An annual tradition to dinner here for the show starts. The menu is full of traditional french country style dishes. It is also a bakery so over the top deserts.

Here is their phone number (831) 624-5008. They only take reservations for dinner, apparently. Google it, look at website, refer to dinner menu.

A relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail, and pastries baked daily on premises. Dining room is available for private dinner parties.
