Great looking place right in the middle of Carmel by the Sea. Nice place to drop in and the service is good.

We had lunch here and the beef pot pie was exceptional! The tea and scones are always wonderful. Check the time before you go as hours are limited. Dog friendly in the courtyard. When you are finished chowing down go right next door ( wash your hands first😉) and visit the amazing Hat store! Fantastic!

Cute little cottage and nice service. Food is genuine and tasty but not great. For the scone lover their scones are a bit different, pan baked and heavy. Chicken pot pie creamy but a bit heavy. Limited menu.

My Mom and Dad honeymooned in Carmel and Monterrey area in 1952. While there they discovered this place. They lived it! Scones, homemade marmalade and blackberry preserves. So good. My mom passed several years back. My Dad and I had breakfast at the Tuck Box and it was neat to see him relive memories! Still good food and environment.

This is a place that is advertised everywhere ~ and the cottage itself is darling ~ but the food is just OK/Average ~ and can absolutely be missed with all the other choices you have available in this incredible town. Prices don't reflect just OK food.

I had to talk my husband into going to The Tuck Box, but he enjoyed the food and cute atmosphere inside. There is patio seating, also, and the place was continuously busy. If you want to do full tea instead of lunch, call ahead. They also have teas for sale. The scones and jam were DELICIOUS!!!!! I would definitely go... More

My wife and I go to Carmel once or twice each year, and Tuck Box is always a must-go. Easy walk in location, dog-friendly courtyard seating in the warm morning sun, and my favorites are the omelettes (always with fresh avocado added, of course) and the awesome buttered scones. Cute cozy building and surrounding businesses, friendly staff, great food, all... More

Adorable little "English" style breakfast place! I was surprised by all the negative reviews on here. I ordered an omelot with avocado and the egg was cooked to perfection! Nothing worse than an overcooked omelot. I also tried some scones and loved them! Their jams were delicious, as well. It's a charming little place and definitely worth stopping by for... More

We visited Carmel for the first time in five years, and The Tuck Box was number 1 on our list of "must visit again." It still has outstanding tea and delicious and unique scones. Hopefully it won't take me another 5 years to return.
