We escaped from Nepenthe and came here twice for a long lunch in January 2017. A truly stunning location, the tables outside have superb uninterrupted views (unlike Nepenthe), friendly and helpful staff (unlike Nepenthe), and food that was edible (unlike Nepenthe). To be recommended especially on a sunny day. When you have finished your meal there a comfortable chairs that... More

This is at the beginning of the Big Sur drive just south of Carmel by Sea. We visited in January, 2017 & were lucky to enjoy bright sunny days and the spectacular views both at lunch time as well as dinner sunsets. The tables & sitting area is right on the Ocean ! The food & customer service was GREAT... More

This restaurant is perched cliff face over looking the most amazing coast line. The food is a bit pricey and is ok. You don't go here for the food just the views.

We sat inside next to a window with a great view of the ocean. There is also outside dining. Recommend the cioppino and divers scallops. Fast service.

I ate at this restaurant a couple of years ago and the food was terrible and service even worse. So when my friends wanted to have lunch, I was dreading it. To my surprise, it looks like it has gone thru renovations and new owners. It was a bit chilly but we brought our jackets so we decided to sit... More

A little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Excellent food, good service and great ocean view when you eat. A little pricy but worth the cost. Would go back in minute.

On our way to Big Sur from Carmel I noticed this restaurant and we came back to have lunch here. We lucked out and had a table by the window. It was a chilly day so we ate inside, but they have outside dining as well. I have fish and my husband had chicken. Everything was surprisingly tasty. It's a... More

We stopped here on our way to Cambria and stopped here again on our way from Cambria. Favorite place now. The weather was spectacular and we got to sit on the deck. They are pet friendly also!! The view was magnificent and each visit we saw whales! It was thrilling. The food is amazing! Both times we started off with... More

Nice restaurant with a great view on Highway 1 in Carmel/Big Sur, just North of the Bridge. There are not too many restaurant on the stretch of this highway in this area. Stop by for a drink or snack. The view is worth the visit. Best time to visit is during the sunset. Request for window or patio seating but... More
