By far the very best meal and service we had during our recent trip to Carmel. Everything was impeccable. The wait staff was very attentive without being an interruption - just the right amount.

Get the pork chop! My husband ordered the $58 bone in ribeye and it was not worth the price. I ordered the pork chop and it was 10 times better than his steak. The restaurant is very nice and the service is awesome.

Getting 5/5. A tad too pricey.Service bordered between gracious or...slow. However, the food was superb. OSSO BUCO.Tuna. Calamari appetizer was wonderful....but no need to charge that much for a lettuce wedge or a simple garden salad. Very impressive wine list but a wine the waiter recommended turned out to be unavailable and the suggested substitute was $20 more, without an... More

I was very excited to eat at Grasing's based on my internet searches before the trip. The menu seemed fresh and inspired and there were vegetarian options. We were promptly seated but curtly greeted by our server. Sadly, that curt and pretentious service seems to prevail in Carmel. Our waiter, though efficient, seemed more interested in just taking our order... More

Truly spectacular experience. From the remarkably professional, personable and accommodating Maitre d, cheery bartender, totally involved manager/owner (when was the last time someone announced "No, no; after YOU, m'lady" :)), super cordial waiter.. To spectacular cuisine and a wine list to DIE FOR!!! A 'must go to', AND return to. Over and over again. Just ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had Christmas dinner at Grasing's, a highly rated restaurant located in a charming Carmel-style bungalow. We've dined here previously and as usual, it didn't disappoint. We were delighted by the choice of options on this pre-fixe holiday dinner. There were four entrees to select from, plus three totally decadent desserts. The 3-course meal was $59 pp, with beverages charged... More

What an amazing dinner we had! The ambiance is wonderful for all types of celebration! The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered steak, fish and pasta. Each was prepared to perfection. The wine list is very extensive.

I've visited this bar over a couple of years and it is great. Well crafted, imaginative drinks, great bartender. A very good place to hang for a late afternoon drink. We also stayed for dinner. Some of the food was great including the abalone and beet salad. The paella was very bland and a bit disappointing. The worst part was... More

Carmel, California is a wonderful place to visit especially during the Holiday season because of their Holiday decor, less crowds, great shopping and great restaurants. During our most recent stay, we had a spontaneous visit to Grasing's and found it to be elegant with great service, very tasty foods and a fabulous wine selection. For any wine enthusiast, this would... More

We stopped in for a quick lunch and opted to eat in the bar area (we had walked by the day before and everything looked so good so we decided we needed to give it a try). We visited with the bartender, Brad, who could not have been nicer. He makes a great wasabi & crab bloody mary - ours... More

Grasing’s, located in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, lies along the Pacific Coast in Central California in Monterey County. It is 120 miles south of San Francisco, 70 miles south of San Jose and 350 miles north of Los Angeles. Celebrity chef partners, Kurt Grasing and Narsai David, truly created a gem. Fancifully designed in warm hues and modern art work, Grasing’s sets the stage for entertaining that is at once festive and intimate. From friendly and professional service, an award winning wine list and seasonally inspired cocktails to the fresh and sustainable local ingredients are only a few reasons why Grasing’s still receives rave reviews from the press. Just recently, Grasing’s was awarded “Restaurant of the Year” and “Business of the Year” by the Carmel Business Association. Chef Grasing was also honored recently by the American Culinary Federation and received an award for “Chef of the Year”.
