My wife and I were in town for Valentines night and we managed to get a table at Grasing, everyone we talked to at our hotel, the Uber driver and someone we met in a shop said that we were lucky to get a spot, and they were right. A fantastic location, great service and the food was amazing. Nice... More

Came here with my friend for a Saturday afternoon lunch and got great seating outside. The service was wonderful, the peach lemonade very good and we ordered two different salads; the vegetable and salmon and both were the best salads we ever had. They were fresh, not too expensive and had nice light dressings. The presentation was great and overall... More

Elegant restaurant with an extensive wine list. The place is large, good for romantic dinner or in small groups. The dishes were great. The duck, scallop and tuna were very good

The dining rooms are beautiful - a mix of quaint and elegant French. The service is friendly and impeccable. Our waiter was Mike and he guided us through the menu listening to our likes. The wine list is a book and is sure to impress oenophiles. Our meal was outstanding. This is the finest dining in Carmel!

The exquisite food and great wine the restaurant offers can quench your hunger for delicacy. The deco here is elegant. We ordered crab Benedict and beef skirt steak, the ingredients of which r so fresh. The sauce of Benedict is just fine, not stealing the thunder of the subtle sweetness of crab, and the fruit by the main dish is... More

We chose Grasing's based on Trip Advisor reviews. I had organic greens salad. Delicious, fresh, light dressing so not full by the time dinner arrives. Bread that tasted like it just came out of the oven. I don't eat certain meats (lamb, veal, duck) so menu was slightly limiting. Steak, quite expensive so went for the Sea Bass. It was... More

Grasing's is an outstanding restaurant in downtown Carmel. The Carmel Pine Cone (local newspaper) named it best place to celebrate a special occasion and best bartender. I can vouch for the latter . His martinis are fabulous . Bar in front, very cosy restaurant in back. Attentive service , great food. Highly recommended.

We selected this restaurant for two reasons. They had duck on the menu (delicious) and they accepted dogs. We sat on back patio but still treated like first rate customers. Their wine list is Amazing, we were very surprised by this. They gave our dog his own water bowl, and his own bed mat. Even though they do not have... More

Food is consistent and delicious. Every time I eat at Grasings I leave a happy customer. Fresh ingredients, and great execution to the table make this one of my favorites in Carmel. My last meal here highlighted by Venison and a wonderful stuffed Ravioli with a savory au jus. Pairing a meal here with the right wine comes easy, with... More

I begin by saying I am a foodie, a wine collector, a cook and difficult to please. That being said, Grasing's is enjoyable, but not worth the price IF you are comparing it to other top restaurants especially in Europe. We ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese at $17.50 only because a previous review said there was so much lobster.... More

Grasing’s, located in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, lies along the Pacific Coast in Central California in Monterey County. It is 120 miles south of San Francisco, 70 miles south of San Jose and 350 miles north of Los Angeles. Celebrity chef partners, Kurt Grasing and Narsai David, truly created a gem. Fancifully designed in warm hues and modern art work, Grasing’s sets the stage for entertaining that is at once festive and intimate. From friendly and professional service, an award winning wine list and seasonally inspired cocktails to the fresh and sustainable local ingredients are only a few reasons why Grasing’s still receives rave reviews from the press. Just recently, Grasing’s was awarded “Restaurant of the Year” and “Business of the Year” by the Carmel Business Association. Chef Grasing was also honored recently by the American Culinary Federation and received an award for “Chef of the Year”.
