I had the Fish and Chips that the restaurant is famous for, and it was delicious. The tartar sauce was yummy with the fish and the homemade cole slaw was also delicious. The outdoor seating with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, nearby, was perfect. Ceiling heaters made our outdoor seating in January very comfortable. Casual and... More

We had a nice lunch outside. The weather was beautiful with a good view of the ocean while we enjoyed delicious fish tacos. The service was prompt. After lunch we had a nice walk along the ocean which very close to the restaurant entrance. The only negative was the restrooms were below average.

A group of us enjoyed a late lunch here on the perfect SoCal day. Portions were large and all seemed to enjoy their selections. Fried clam strips were extra crunchy and delicious. The real winner was the clam chowder -- a little spicy and full of delicious tidbits. Servers were fun and friendly.

Great shrimp and clam. Fish and fries good also with their own local beer. All fried though. Priced fair.

Very efficient and friendly servers. Unfortunately food was poor. We had the 2 pc fish and chips. The fish appeared at first to be generous in size but in reality were extremely thin fillets in a bloated crust. Crust was so hard we were afraid we might break the tines on the plastic forks so w just dipped then in... More

We stopped here for lunch. This is a cute place and the service was brisk but friendly. It is very casual with a nice view of the ocean. It is easy to find, right off Carlsbad Blvd. we shared the fish taco and the fried shrimp platter. They come with fries ( the seasoned ones are yummy) I did not... More

We have been eatting here for over ten years and have never been disappointed. For fried fish and shrimp, it is freshly prepared and in ample amounts. The tables have been given new oil cloth and several new tables have been added.

This is an outdoor restaurant and basic, but the food and service are both good. By basic I am talking paper plates and soup bowls and plastic knives, forks and spoons. You get the picture. But I had Almond crusted Mahi Mahi that was delicious! For my sides I had clam chowder and a salad. All this for $18.95. And... More

Taking my husband tomorrow for his birthday. Fresh air, ocean views, good food, and he doesn't have to wear a tie. My visitors to Carlsbad always love a trip to the Harbor Fish Café when in town. Portions are large, food tasty. They even send those annoying photos of the food they're eating to people back home. This autumn weather... More
