I enjoyed stopping at busters. It was a roadside stop with some standard bbq dishes. I had the tri-tip and chicken combo. The tri-tip was cooked nicely although I didn't notice a good smoke flavor to it. The chicken had more of the smokiness though. I ordered the hot BBQ sauce. I really enjoy spicy food so it wasn't too... More

Very casual place with a limited menu. BBQ tri-tip and ribs were great, sauce not too spicy, although they do offer a spicy sauce. Very generous portions, we had to take home several dishes. The beans were great.

This Spot is fabulous great fresh bbq, decent prices eg half beef rib for 16$, half chicken dinner for 9$. Not a place to expect a gourmet dish but a place you enjoy a honest food.

Love American BBQ. This is just another example of how great the food is here. Australia needs to catch up on the quality of service and food.

..3 of us stopped here for a bite for dinner...got chicken & it was so dried out/overcooked...& the sauce on top didn't make it better...maybe the food was all dried out because it was the end of the day & had been cooked hours ago?

We walked through town looking for a quick meal after a long day of traveling. We stopped in this place and had the chicken sandwich on Texas toast and our friends had the ribs and chicken duo. Our chicken was great ! We had them mix their HOT sauce with their mild sauce and it worked! Our friends said their... More

Drove past and smelled the barbecue and turned around! Be sure and dine on the beautiful patio out back across the parking lot (we didn't see it until we were leaving even though we parked right in front of it)! You order at the window and there is inside and outside dining. The line was long, but they move them... More

My wife and I split a two meat combo plate with chicken and beef tri tip. Both meats were dry and I believe this may be because they were grilled rather than actually BBQ'd.

Okay, so if you are going through Calistoga and you are a carnivore, stop at Buster's. Our group did enjoy the tri-tip while I enjoyed the chicken - plain. Side dishes were 'meh!'. The meat is done well, the hot sauce is 'ring of fire' worthy and the sweet potato pie is delicious. This place was opened in 1965 and... More

This was a fun little spot for lunch. You order at an outdoor window, and can sit inside a building (not attached to the kitchen) or on the patio out back.
