On a recent visit we ate both here and at Carmelita's. The dining room here is more pleasant and spacious. The salsa at Carmelita's is a little fresher and more piquant, in our opinion. You won't go wrong at either place. The food is fresh and well prepared. The service is very friendly- good chili rellenos.

Looks like many of the locals know about this out of the way restaurant. We arrived about 8 p.m. and still had a short wait. The service is not as polished as in many other restaurants but our orders were taken and filled in a reasonable time. The food is all Mexican as you might have surmised. I ordered enchiladas... You'll get good service here, especially if you're their last customer of the evening and they want to go home😄. They were pleasant and efficient, but the food was uninspired.

We asked how long the wait - was told "I don't know", asked if they had ranch dressing - was told "I don't know, was completely ignored by server, we also noticed other tables with the same problem - no they were not busy at that time!!! I've had worst food, but not by much - even the margaritas were... More

All I can say is th We've eaten here many times over the past few years, and it's always been mediocre, but this year it just wasn't good. The servers are delightful, though.

My wife & I enjoyed another good lunch at Pablito's recently. The cool restaurant was a nice relief after hiking in the desert. This was the height of the wildflower "superbloom" and the flowers were the most bounteous we have seen in years. But with the fields of flowers, come the hordes of flower-watchers. We were glad to come early... More

I have been here twice in the past month. They really are overwhelmed by the number of people who is visiting the desert this year because of the number of flowers in desert. Food is good but seating process is terrible. Love the patio and the cheese enchiladas. Margaritas are great. You need lots of time for this place.

Went to Borrego to see the flowers. We were going to Carlee's for lunch, long wait. So we to Pablito's instead. We still had to wait about 10 mins. We sit down. Waited for the very Rude waitress. She takes our order. Waited. I got a taco salad. Lettuce was wet. So wet I could take it out and water... More

4 of us rode down to Borrego Springs for a hike and some lunch. Got to the restaurant about 12:30. We were immediately seated. After 15 minutes someone took our beverage order but would not take our food order. After another 10 minutes we ordered our food. After another 10 minutes our beverages showed up. Finally we got our food... More

Four of us visited Pablito's after a hike through "The Slot" in Boreggo State Park (a must activity for anyone who likes hiking - both experienced and novice). The Corona was cold. The glasses frosted. The limes fresh. The decor is very welcoming and the premises clean. The staff was most hospitable and conversational without being obtrusive. We have "had... More
