We stayed in Borrego Springs over the Memorial Day Weekend. During our stay we tried out a few of the local eating establishments based on input from the folks at our hotel – La Casa Del Zorro. The good folks recommended Carlee’s for dinner. Finding...More

Stayed at the Palm at Indian Head. The Coyote Steak house is on premise. Food and service was excellent. Red Ocotillo is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Carlee's is fun for lunch and a cold beer.

This is a roadhouse with live music some nights, a horseshoe shaped bar and some cozy 1950s style booths. The menu is enormous and everything is fresh and well prepared. There are some newer choices and I have become a fan of the flat bread...More

grandslamhomer, My apologies for the wait. That was an anomaly for the amount of business we experienced. We were completely overrun during the month of March. It is extremely difficult for a town of less than 3,000 people to incur over 20,000 tourists a week....More

Kyong29, I'm very sorry you thought the menu to be overpriced. I am extremely vigilant about following the price changes by our distributors as well as the prices of our competitors. I've noticed several restaurants that charge more for their 1/3# burgers than we do...More

We stopped in for dinner because it always smelled delicious outside this restaurant. It doesn't have the appearance of an awesome eatery, but the food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient.

This was my favorite dinner in Borrego. Lightning fast and friendly service, huge amount of food, good drinks. It's kind of a bar scene, but very friendly.

I have been coming to Borrego Springs sin the 1970's and I know that Carlee's had a different name back then. It was more of a bar than a restaurant like it is now. Can anyone tell me what the name used to be? Thanks

I believe it was called the Circle Inn. Although we called it the Knife and Gun Club because of how rowdy it was. :)
Can you give me a few hints on making your gazpacho? I love it but don't plan on being back for a year or so.

Sorry, I do not know how to make Gazpacho.
Loved the Gazpacho when we were there!!! I need to plan another trip just to have this again. Can anyone share this recipe with me? I remember cucumber, clamatto juice, but not much else.

I'm not a chef but the web will have lots of recipes. If you want Carlee's, I suggest that you ask them.
