The food is OK for a cafe and the prices are not too bad. At this time of year it is very busy so I can forgive a short cut or two. Obviously due to expected rush the salads are made in advance. I ordered...a caesar salad which had obviously been sitting for a while as it was swimming in oil and the lettuce was limp. It was a good sized salad with lots of bacon and Parmesan and one anchovy. It was tasty despite being soggy. The worst part was the whole poached egg propped on the top - what were they thinking.? In a bowl it is difficult to crumb the egg to sprinkle it over the salad unless you ask for a separate plate to perform this. Very short sighted idea. Friends had the fish and hot vegetables - the fish was cooked well but the vegies were a let down. The best plate at our table was the salt & pepper squid. This is a beachside cafe style restaurant which has no air conditioning on a hot day. Most days the wind is blowing so its fine but on the hot days the fans are too small to be effective so you contend with flies and heat. My first visit here and I loved the beach location. The cafe is right literally on the beach. Beautiful view. Had the Ancient grain salad which was to die for. It was really delicious. The Thai beef salad was nice too. Lots of parking and...they are covid compliant.More

Have been coming to this Cafe off and on over the years its been there and lately have been disappointed in a few things. Why have they started allowing people to bring their dogs???? Aren't there enough eating places as it is where it appears...to be the norm for Customers to stroll in with a Dog. Apparently the dogs are supposed to be on a lead in the outside eating area, but we were seated inside and had to put up with a dog foraging for food around our feet. Owner was completely oblivious to this as were the Wait Staff and Waitress brushed it off when I mentioned it. When we are all being encouraged to pay with credit card and not cash why is it that we have to pay a surcharge making even a simple coffee rather expensive. Food is nothing out of the ordinary for what it costs and Staff could be a little more approachable . My advice to the Owners... Please remove the dogs .... they are a total put off especially when we are all trying hard to be more hygienic because of Covid. Can't see myself or Friends returning until these issues are looked at.More

Having been coming here for years. Just had fabulous Pappardelle pasta saffron asparagus prawns and semi fry tomatoes $27 fab cappuccino and freshly made watermelon and apple juice. Went for Breakfast here, booked a table. You are on a 2 hour window which we knew, but when the waiter showed us to our table he neglected to mention it is not table service. You have to go up to the counter and order...so that chewed up 20 minutes of time because we didn't know (you also need to remember your table number when you do). Food similar menu to everywhere else in Perth nothing particularly amazing, fresh and of a good standard. A little expensive for what it is, you pay more as it's beachfront, a coffee and breakfast each for 2 people came to $68. It's right on the beach front which makes it pleasant. Relaxed chilled atmosphere for those coming out of the surf wanting brekkie. Customer service average. Shown to our table and served at the kiosk, friendly enough but very base. There are much better places in Perth that I'd choose above this one.More

I came here during the week for brunch with a friend. The cafe was very busy, but we were able to secure a table outside. We were swarmed by pesty flies. (Very frustrating but it is summer). Service was friendly and prompt. I had a...toasted salmon bagel, which was average.More

Stopped by for lunch today. Superb location, excellent menu and a great dining experience. Indoor and outdoor seating. Settled for fish and chips and a nice bottle of Plantagenet wine. Sea breeze and great food - what more could you want on a nice Sunday...by the beach.More
