Restaurant located near the famous Rodeo drive, quite large place with a light background music in the bar area. We ate great top raw materials and dishes with a beautiful presentation, nice wine list vast.Unique thing that is a bit 'expensive compared to other restaurants and that the interior and the mise en place is nothing exceptional. But it was a good experience

With a two day stop-over in LA on our way out of the country, we decided to hit Spago, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the cocktails and drinks were as expected. Between the two of us, we had the Jidori chicken and the duck, both of which were excellent. I personally was torn between the duck and the veal, and on a return trip I plan to try the veal. Almost all the entrees were between $50-75, which I thought was extremely well priced for the Beverly Hills area. For dessert we split the Warren pears. The staff top to bottom was the real star of the show, as I would expect the food at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant to be top notch. While taking our drink order, the server asked if we were celebrating any sort of occasion to which we mentioned we were on a trip celebrating our anniversary. This led to a well wishes message on our dessert plate, which was a nice touch we thought considering the server remembered that it was our 8th anniversary specifically. Would highly recommend!

Truly had a wonderful experience at Spago again. From the hostess to the bartender to the waitstaff, everybody was welcoming, professional, polite, efficient, helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely roomy booth. It is great when a restaurant is thoughtful of their customers comfort and doe not pack tables in like sardines. The noise level was not (thankfully!) too loud. Had the best mocktail ever with these little juicy seeds in them - a "Falooda" - O.M.G. think i had 4 of them, it was so good! Salmon Pizza was perfectly baked. My friend had an excellent and tender pasta. Apple strudel was flawless and so delicious! Love Spago. So glad they continue to uphold very high standards. Looking forward to returning!

Located at the heart of downtown LA, Spago Beverly Hills is a popular restaurant found by Wolfgang Puck. While the bar and main dining room areas look hip and chic, the private room with a high ceiling has a classy tone. The Christmas decorations are very festive. However, hygiene appears to be a big concern, perhaps the main reason for the Michelin stars to be plucked away! Washrooms are filthy to say the least, and coffee cups on the newly set dining table are not properly cleaned (shown on one of the photos attached). Jason, the manager taking care of the private party, is very friendly and accommodating. Sadly, the so-called California cuisine is unimpressive, and the high price is not justified at all! The signature Smoked Salmon Pizza’s crust is not crispy enough, and the salmon roes are very fishy. The Hiramasa Sashimi (US$ 38) is overpowered by the ginger seasoning. The Blue Fin Tuna (US$ 46) actually tastes quite fresh by itself, but is unfortunately ruined by the addition of the chewy seaweed that has a strange smell. Highlight of the dinner is the rich but fluffy Dark Chocolate Soufflé (US$ 28).

Went to Spago with high expectations- the restaurant and ambience was lovely, food was good but what absolutely killed the experience was the service- it took 20 mons after we were say down for one of the waiters to finally come over and acknowledge us. We had to wait ages between each course. Even after we were given dessert menus we had to wait 25 mins for our order to be taken. Quite a shame

I so wanted to give this place a five star review as it is number two on my restaurant bucket list, but I had some minor complaints. First, I was having dinner for one and wanted to make a reservation as soon as possible because of the popularity. I tried to do it online and it wouldn’t complete my request. So I submitted an online inquiry and heard nothing back. Finally I called and spoke to a very nice lady that got it all booked, but then when I got a text asking to confirm my reservation, which I did, I heard nothing back. I had my hotel call and confirm my confirmation. I arrived early and went to the host stand. The two people manning it barely smiled or looked at me, however the young lady who took me to my table was all smiles. My table for one was in a service area behind a tree. I was disappointed. I understand a single diner is not as big a revenue source as parties of two or more, but I’m a paying customer. Then one of the servers, William, came to my table with a menu and to welcome me and I commented about where I was. He moved my table so I had a better view, brought over some nicer chairs and made sure I was well taken care of. He introduced me to the sommelier who helped me pick a wine to have with my dinner and my actual server, James, was very attentive. I got the pink moscato to drink and it was perfect. For dinner I had the wiener schnitzel. It came out piping hot and crispy, but could have used a touch more salt when they finished frying it. Also it was a little greasy. The warm potato salad was superb and the cucumber salad was good, just a little heavy on the caraway seeds. Then to finish off my meal, I got the Apple strudel. They gave me three piece instead of the normal two. I couldn’t eat it all, but it was so delicious. It was a good meal, but could have been great if the customer service before I arrived and right when I arrived had been a little better. The prices are high for what you get, so great service should be part and parcel. Thankfully William and James made up for the rough start I had.

My husband and I were in LA as part of our honeymoon. All I will say is INCREDIBLE! We took a seat at the bar, had a cocktail while we waited for our table. The cocktails were brilliant, and bar staff super friendly. The front of house said a table was ready but knew we wanted to sit outdoors, so we decided to wait. She was super polite and kind. We got taken to our table in the courtyard.. met by Laurent who was the most perfect host and person we could have hoped to have look after us. The setting was beautiful. Every single dish was perfect! The portions were generous, but not too big. We had the truffle pizza, bread and gnocchi (please order them all, they won’t disappoint!) My husband had the lamb and I had the duck, with a side of the mash. Cooked to perfection! It felt like an individual restaurant with every small detail thought of. Don’t hesitate to book, you’ll have a great night

Visited mid week for dinner. It was our 1st visit and I went in knowing that Spago's was an expensive well known Beverly Hills restaurant and I was not expecting value. The food was okay the service was average at best and the ambiance was nothing special (situated in a nice large outside tent). We had 2 appetizers we had heard were must orders. The Tuna Tartare Cones @ $34 and the Salmon Pizza @$38. The tuna was a small portion and nothing tastier than you can't find for 1/2 the price at any good sushi bar. The Pizza was good though not as good as the same pizza at the Ivy in Santa Monica and a lot more expensive. The wife had the lobster Lobster Risotto @ $ 32 and I had the Veal Chop @ $58. Both entrees came out warm not hot and while both meals were better than average neither approached the response of "Wow this is really good". We each had two cocktails at $22 each and a glass of wine each at dinner for $28 each. We finished up with a chocolate souffle for dessert which was good. Valet Parking was $15 + tip so all in all I think we spent roughly $400 for two. I am fine with paying for an expensive meal, but we both thought it was just a very underwhelming restaurant considering it's reputation and we are not that fussy . If you want to go out for really nice fine dining., there are a multitude of better options in the area. Seriously, if you cut the prices in half I would never go again.

Went for my 50th birthday, the food was amazing from start to finish. Jason our waiter made the experience so much better, he was chatty and knowledgeable about the menu, really funny and made the evening a delight. Would highly recommend.

All around lackluster and strange experience. Food was meh. Steak is no good and tough my father was trying to cut an overcooked sliced steak with a dull steaknife-do not order! Truffles on corn pasta pairing was a joke. The waitstaff were unfriendly/aloof and we were rushed through our meal. Like someone else said as if they were being bothered by our presence. We asked to start with an heirloom tomato salad and they brought it together with our entrees? I don’t think that’s ever happened to me before. And it was all served within 10 minutes of ordering! It was as if the food was just sitting around preprepared? Lukewarm when served. The kids pizza had no sauce just cheese and bread. Rose champagne was not good we had to switch to cocktails. I could go on. My father has always loved Spago and mentioned he will not return in the future after seeing how much it’s changed since he visited a few years ago. Being my first time, I found the place no better than going to a chain restaurant at the mall.

Had been looking forward to taking my family to Spago Beverly Hills as I had outstanding experiences there previously. When we arrived, found that the restaurant that we loved so much had a dramatically different setup. The restaurant was closed for seating other than groups. We were seated outside in a outdoor fixture built on the street. Not the experience we were looking for as we were now eating in a “Bubble” but we stayed. When we made the reservation, we were not told about this change. Had we known, we would have selected a different restaurant. Our server Carlos tried to do his best but seemed to be rushing us. Very quick interactions with the table. Not what I had been accustomed to previously. 3 at our table had ordered the gnocchi only to find out 10 minutes after ordering that they were out. My son then ordered the Cavatelli Pasta and instead of mushrooms he wanted to add chicken. Instead, Carlos recommended angel hair pasta and chicken so we agreed. When I received the bill, they charged $22 for the pasta and $65 for the chicken. $87 for pasta with chicken. I ordered the wienerschnitzel. I had been looking forward to this as I have had it before and was the best that I have had outside of Germany. This one was undercooked and simply not good. I do not mind paying for a great meal, but this was anything but great. At no point did anyone come by to check on us as one would expect from a top restaurant. Just a poor experience overall. Sadly, my favorite restaurant in LA will not be seeing me or my family again.

Seated 45 minutes after the reservation time and was shuffled off to the bar with no explanation why the wait was so long. The hostess didn’t care we had to wait. The waitress barley talked to us and was so absent she had to ask us if we had received our appetizers or not. The drinks came out after we finished our apps. Generally felt like we were not wanted. The food was fine but nothing special. In-N-Our burger is a more enjoyable meal and experience. Wolfgang get your house in order here. All your other restaurants are great.

It had been a long while since I went to Spago but last night I was reminded why it remains one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, even to this day. After being greeted with a warm and heartfelt welcome, we were shown to the perfect table on the restaurant’s enchanting patio. The evening ensued flawlessly thanks to the professionalism and genuine enthusiasm of our expert entourage - Eric, Wine Director Matt, and server Leal. The cuisine was exquisite, the wine pairings were spot on, and the service, impeccable. To top it off, we enjoyed a delightful exchange with Barbara who passionately insisted that we conclude our meal with Kasserschmarm for dessert. She was right - it was superb! Spago is truly world class and showcases with great brio the meaning of hospitality. I will be sure not to let as much time pass before visiting again!

We were very excited to try Spago, but the experience did not live up to our expectations. First, the positives: nice atmosphere, comfortable seats, and good cocktails. The highlight of the evening was our waiter, though. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. He's the main reason why my rating is not lower. Now the issues: I had called the restaurant to ask for the tasting menu for that evening and the hostess said that it was still available and made a note on my reservation. Of course, once we got to the restaurant they informed us that there was no such note and that we couldn't get the tasting menu as the kitchen was busy. This was the first disappointment as we were looking forward to the full Spago experience. The second disappointment was the food. We got the wagyu tartare, the grilled octopus, the salmon pizza, and the schnitzel. The first two were somewhat ok, but the biggest disappointments were the other two as they're supposedly the signature dishes. I had the most amazing thin, crunchy salmon pizza at Akira Back's Lumi. This in comparison was honestly just bread with cream cheese and salmon. The crust was too thick and the salmon was overpowering. The schnitzel was an even bigger disappointment. Was it terrible? No. Was it what you'd expect from a place like Spago? Definitely not! Being from Europe, I had a lot of schnitzels in my life and I can tell you that the schnitzel you get at any Austrian ski resort is 10 times better. The one at Spago was definitely a miss: the breading was falling off the meat and it was a bit soggy. It also looked quite white meaning that it wasn't cooked enough. For dessert we got the cookies and cream souffle. It tasted fine, but the souffle hadn't risen at all and what we thought was whipped cream on top tasted a lot like butter. Maybe it was actually butter, but if so that is a weird thing to put on top of an already heavy dessert. We also got the bread in the beginning which was ok, but nothing special. It also arrived late - they brought it after we had already eaten two of the courses instead of bringing it in the beginning. I would like to try the tasting menu, but given last night's experience, I will probably not go back to Spago.

Spago is that restaurant you go to to celebrate something special or if you just want to feel special. In the days of a pandemic, you’re likely to be seated in a tent, instead of a restaurant, but you will still receive red carpet treatment. We were seated in a cozy room near a fireplace on a very cold January night, perfect for a romantic evening. We started with champagne and caviar, because we were celebrating. The staff goes out of its way to make you feel important here. Our server brought us a delightful amuse bouche of tuna tartare to begin. And he kept our champagne flutes filled all night. We both were in the mood for chef’s famous Wiener schnitzel, which was not on the menu that night. No worries. Spago’s rule is if they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. It was an amazing night capped off by a visit to our table by chef and owner Wolfgang Puck. Hint: When you make a reservation, ask for a table in the fireplace room.

Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
