This restaurant is amazing. From the moment we walked in the service, ambience and food was faultless. Our server was very passionate and talked us through all food options, considering the areas of LA nothing was pretentious and we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend if in LA for the Beverly Hills experience

The restaurant is located in the heart of Beverly Hills, next to the famous Rodeo Drive. Three floors, live music, good menu and excellent wine list. We had dinner on the third floor on December 24, Catholic Christmas Eve. Very inviting, cheerful atmosphere, elegant audience. I liked the fresh seafood, onion soup, fish. Dom Perignon champagne was poured into glasses.
There was a hitch during boarding and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, like many other guests. I think it's because of the holiday. In any case, this nuance did not spoil the atmosphere of the evening.

Let’s start with the ambiance. If you are worried about Covid at all, STAY AWAY! The tables art stacked one on top of each other and you will NOT have 3 feet of distance from the next table.
Also, it’s a loud restaurant, not romantic. You won’t be able to talk quietly with your date. You will yell!
The good news is that the food is amazing! The mamba salad is a Caesar salad with a kick. I highly recommend it. Here’s a tip: salads are huge. Share! We didn’t share and could not finish.
Steaks were perfect. We both had filet and shared sides of asparagus and mushrooms. We could not finish. Huge portions.
We ordered butter cake for dessert. It could feed 4. Delicious.
Second tip: they offer bread, but it is not complimentary. They charge $5.00, but don’t tell you ahead of time.
Our server, Kelly, was a wonderful hostess to a wonderful dinner. Our only main complaint was the proximity of the diners in a pandemic.
Oh, when you charge $60 for steaks, don’t nickel and dime customers by charging for bread! Even Applebee’s has complimentary bread.

They talk about classy environment but that’s just the opposite.
Crowded place with huge noice and even crying little children.
If you want to have a nice dinner don’t go there.
Besides that the service is very bad when he comes about giving information and prices.
So I ordered a bottle of white wine and they where going to choose for me, luckely i asked the price because they where going to bring me a bottle above 100 dollars.
Also with the food bad advice especially when they give you some special butter for on the meat.
I thought it was included in the menu but no 3 times 15 dollars for just some butter with special taste.
And at the end the check with no choice of gratuity, it was automatically 18%…this for the land of freedom ?
Look for much better places with greater value for your money.

Service was so slow. Lovely waitress Amanda however, waiting 25 minutes for the wine ? Seriously? Then eventually the order is taken. Nothing fancy to cause any issues. The steak arrived quite swiftly. Mine was cold in the middle - red hot on the outside but cold in the middle. I look for staff to speak to and as if by magic there are literally no staff to tell - it’s as if they knew. Eventually the chef himself comes out and sees me looking and that there are no waiting staff to be seen so personally takes the steak away to make it hotter. Fortunately the plates are so intensely hot it is possible to thinly slice the steak and cook it further on the plate as it was very blue but I wasn’t going to send it back again.
We have done Mastros a couple of times before in Scottsdale and both were exceptional. This experience however was sadly very disappointing. I won’t be returning.

I went to Mastro’s 3 times over 4 weeks when I was in LA 2 years ago and thought it was great, but this recent experience was extremely poor. It’s obvious there is a high demand for this place and that could account for the significant drop in all round quality/service.
1. Had a reservation, but the table was not ready, so asked to wait, and there is a bar 1st and 2nd floor. However, both bars packed, and with chairs around them, it’s impossible to get to the bar, never mind sit down, and so we end up standing at the entrance for an hour before being seated at our table !!
2. Once seated, it was 10+ minutes before we got any service.
3. The drinks terribly watered down.
All this could have been excused if the food was good, but the ribeye was tasteless and chewy.
Terribly disappointing in all respects and I have very little motivation to go back and give it a 2nd chance !

We come here for my husband bday dinner, has reservations at 8.15 we was waiting for our table for 55 min, then another 25 min before they take our order ( service was really slow and seems like he didn’t care about doing his job) so we waited another hour for getting a food. They screwed up with name on bday dessert and bring wrong dessert that we was willing pay for! Food wasn’t good either! Lobster rolls was really bad, lobster bisque was too salty, tuna tartare was okay. Definitely not recommend it! It’s many better places in LA where service is better and food is worth the money.

I visited Maestro’s in Malibu and ordered the tomahawk steak. They advertised it was A-5 waygu and the steak was so tough the steak knife could not cut it. The manager did not bother to come by because I’m sure he knew it was not waygu when I shared the information with the server. I’ve dined at Alexander’s in Pasadena, The Cut, and Flemings, and a host of others and never have I been sold a bogus waygu steak. Shame on Maestro’s for trying to trick the public.
So disappointed,

Have been to several Mastro’s across the country and to the one in BH several times. I initially ordered a steak with an accompaniment of 1/2 lb. crab legs. The crab was more than the steak! Umm..no thanks. I get that with inflation everything is higher, but that is extreme. Ended up getting the steak Oscar style which was still $55 extra. And the food was a “B” average at best. The setting was so dark and loud we asked to be seated outside. Which was ok. Not much ambience. Our sever was great. I just don’t think we will be back. Should have tried Avra….

I’ve dined at Mastros all over the country and they are typically exceptional. Last night we dined at the one in Beverly Hills and it was a disaster. They were obviously seriously understaffed and attempting to operate at 100% capacity. Our server was under trained and stretched too thin; food was very slow and we sent our steaks back twice for quality issues. With a dinner bill of $400, this Mastros was having a very bad day yesterday.

Never again! Ordered a Medium ribeye, came out a well, waitress told me to cut in the center to verify before taking it back. We also ordered porterhouse medium well minus, came out very chewy. Let's not talk about the buttercake that was dry and not moist. A steakhouse that can't cook a steak! Mastro's what a joke!

We went to celebrate our son’s birthday. We arrived 20 mins late, so a young female host greeted us with a complaint that “you’re booking is at 5:45!” HOW NICE & ELEGANT!
So, I asked her if she wanted us to leave, she said no, she’s going to find a table for us.
Don’t these kind of establishments train their staffs to greet with welcoming manners rather than such a lecturing greetings?
We were seated at a table in a very grim and super dark corner…felt like being punished. There was an orange electric cable hanging out and popped out as displayed in the pictures.
However, The waitress who looked after us was ABSOLUTELY attentive and efficient….very professional. We applaud her!
The Kobe tomahawk we ordered was nothing extraordinary. It was good but not exceptional.
Value for money wasn’t there…overpriced and overrated.
The last touch point of the evening was at the valet counter where we were abruptly chased to move away from the counter.
We just paid $15 for the valet service and my husband didn’t even have a chance to place the money back in his pocket but the seemed to be a valet manager just crudely told my husband that hE blocked the counter from the next customer.
Obviously, this establishment is lacking of customer services training. You just don’t ask people to pay that amount of money and to just treat them like this.
We will neither go back there nor recommend.

Recent business dinner with two others. All passed on appetizers and all had the Chilean sea bass which was outstanding and a very large serving. At the suggestion of the (overly) affable waiter, we limited ourselves to two sides - creamed spinach and scalloped potatoes. Both were superb and the servings were enormous. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert. Meal was accompanied by a smooth Cabernet Sauvignon from the extensive (and expensive) wine list.
Bottom line, it’s expensive but falls into the category of one gets what one pays for. A top class experience.

We were invited by our friends on a sunday night to celebrate their anniversary at Mastro’s Beverly Hills. The steak was perfectly cooked!🥩 Great options of their appetizers, desserts, and drinks🍷Been staying here in Los Angeles for 12 years and I can definitely say that this is the BEST STEAKHOUSE EVER!
Kudos to the Asian Valet Guy, Lucas, he was very polite and professional! Took care of my brand new vehicle at the front. Overall, we had a very wonderful experience and we will definitely be back here!

We came here for my wife's birthday during Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to come to a nice restaurant and this didn't disappoint. They had live music from a wonderful singer playing the piano. They were at 50% occupancy so it wasn't as crowded.
The appetizers were great and the sides were good as well. But the steaks we didn't think were anything special. My son and I got the 40 oz. Wagyu Tomahawk which was about $140 and it was mediocre. My wife ordered a New York strip medium and it came bloody. She asked them to cook it a bit more and they literally burned it and it was very dry. We showed it to our server who was wonderful and he took it off the bill as it wasn't edible. He offered to bring another but everyone was finishing with their steak at this time.
The staff IS wonderful and the atmosphere is nice. But the steaks aren't too flavorful compared to Ruth Chris' or other steakhouses like Del Friscos. Maybe we just had a bad night.
They did bring out a delicious Happy Birthday Butter cake which was delicious.

Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
