This is a good Indian Chat house and as good as it gets. Just try once and you will be hooked. The Chenna Batura was good. Slightly mild for Indian taste yet nice and spicy .

During week ends, you get dosas, utappam, Idli, Paratha, Pav Bhaji, Dhokla and other non-veg stuff. You also have Chaat menu. Uttappam was good, Dhokla was so so. Every one liked Chaat menu. But the best of all is Kulfi Ice cream. I will definitely visit again for kulfi

I loved the experience here, go to counter, wait, order, sit, order called and you pickup. Large space, noisy but fun. People love to share here. Food was fun but not over the top great. I'd go back if I was in the area and needed my India fix.

ClAloo Tiki Cholle is divine. (Note to self: get that again.) Uttapam looks like Indian pizza but is deep friend bread with cilantro on top. Lamb Biryani is very filling and tasty but you have to eat around bones and gristle. Tandoori chicken is good and comes with good lentils, rice, chapati and raita (a cooling cucumber/yogurt)--quite a lot to... More

Vik's is a cafeteria style Indian food restaurant that exceptionally good. There s a wide selection of Chaat foods to choose from, and they are very reasonably priced. One of the better restaurants in Berkely.

Vik's is both a superb grocery store and a sit-down and take-out restaurant. The whole place smells like the most wonderful Indian food. Good luck selecting a pastry or two from the gorgeous display case! We bought some treats to eat in the restaurant area and some pastries to take away, and also bought some items in the grocery.

Gotta join in the love-fest here: Vik's is a real treasure for the community. Casual, bustling place with tons of bargain-priced choices. Order lots of stuff and experiment. Good mix of Indian and other clientele, friendly (if occasionally confusing) service... Just a really fun dining experience. And don't overlook the fascinating grocery store up front!

If you like S. Indian food this place is definately a great spot to go. There aren't fancy table linens or things of that nature. Probably not a place to go for the ambience either because it appears to be in an industrial area and it is also connected to the grocery store. Great dosas, chaat and pooris....oh, and the... More

Vik's Chaat has some awesome gluten free Indian food. I strongly recommend the gluten free vegetarian dosa (available only on the weekends) and the gluten free pakora. The soup that comes with the dosa is filling and perfectly spiced. If you have a couple bucks get a chai (small but worth it). My non-gluten free meat-eater boyfriend loves the lamb... More
