Everything was brilliant. From the menu, to the staff to the atmosphere, we had zero complaints. I had the barramundi and my partner had the duck, both were cooked perfectly. The wait staff even surprised us with bonus chocolates for our anniversary during dessert which...was really lovely.More

WINDY POINT RESTAURANT is a classy, sophisticated restaurant with fine dining and excellent service by their staff. We were greeted at the door by the concierge Ching and shown to our table by Jana , both staff are very professional and welcomed us warmly. We...enjoyed our 5 course meal for MOTHERS DAY finished with a delicious Apple and Pear Crumble Tart with salted caramel and toffee ice cream! We will be back soon for BIRTHDAY DINNER!!!More

Windy point has always been a premium venue both in location and food So it was dissapointing to find food was not up to scratch everything was fine till main course the duck dish was tough and difficault to eat i understand that visual apperance...can be subjective but the dish looked unappealing. The other main dish the fish sauce flavours did not compliment the delicacy of the barramundi and quite overbearing . It was lovely to be acknowledged in regards of birthdays however two birthdays four people dinning and only two chocolates on the tray really were you not able to put 4 one for each member of our party I found this to be quite rude and perhaps the gesture lost the point Our young waitress was lovely but the gentleman who i think may have been your maitradie has much to learn about his positionMore

Went with the family for Mother’s Day. The place is quite dated but obviously you can’t beat the view. The vegetarian option was literally a big piece of cauliflower and the chicken honestly anyone could’ve cooked at home just as well, but without the price...tag. Over $500 with a couple of drinks for their ordinary set menu was a big disappointment- won’t be back.More

What a gorgeous location for our daughters 21st Birthday Celebration. The table of 20 was just perfect for what she wanted. The food was excellent and the service was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too difficult and everything that I had requested was done to perfection....Thank you for making her night so special, we will be doing this again :-)More

If you want some overrated master chef wannabe with a loud packed sterile environment... try somewhere else. This is classic fine dinning the way it should be with proper wine glasses and white table linen. We have exceptional service and we did a 5 course...menu which was Devine with perfectly match wines. Great service, the best views in Adelaide and great food I am not sure what more you could want. Again if you want edgy with the typical tattoos and piercing staff there are plenty of those on the flats this is a bit more sophisticated and romantic.More

The menu looked enticing, however the food just didn't combine to give the expected tastes. The balance of the dishes did not improve with the paired wines either. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not full. My dining companion and I were...very disappointed. The champagne and one other wine were good.More

Had the 5 course dinner here. The setting itself is fantastic with great views over Adelaide, the bay and the always spectacular sunsets. They maximise this with the west facing restaurant with maximal use of the windows. That said, I was left underwhelmed by the...food. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. However, a few days after being there, I'm struggling to remember what I was actually served. It certainly wasn't a menu where any course sticks out in my mind and I'd be telling people I must have it. On the other hand it wasn't bad either, so I wasn't left feeling "I didn't like that". Very much middle of the road in food. Compared to other competing tasting menus at similar prices in Adelaide, I was left feeling a bit "meh"! The decor is in need of vast modernisation. It felt like it hadn't been updated since the 1980s- big armchairs, wide tables, dark veneer doors, deep carpet, etc. Again, it was all in good repair but just felt dated.More

Main course was good but small. Apart from that, the best part of the meal was the bread rolls. View was partially blocked by trees and internal building columns so no better than at the lookout outside. Good main course not worth the money so...I wouldn’t recommend it or go back myself.More

As others have said, neat casual is okay but formal (even black tie) is probably more appropriate. Most people go formal as it's that sort of place. I always think of it as an opportunity to dress up when there's not too... More
