My partner has visited Plakias for over 30 years and I have been there several times. This is our favourite place to eat and we always visit it several times during our time there. We are always made most welcome and the food is excellent and very varied. As we are on holiday for October half term many eateries start... More

Lucas and Lito have made very little changes over the many years I have visited. I can only repeat what I have previously said - delicious freshly prepared food not for the masses. Enjoy!

We loved the food here, beautiful, lovely portion sizes not too large, unusual cyprus pork dish great spicing, everything fresh and tasty. Our favourite place to eat out so don't miss this one. Very popular with good reason !

It was a small menu compared to other tavernas, but we are so glad we tried it out. For us, the food was the best in Plakias. Our favourites were the Chicken Curry and Beef Goulash. Simple meals, but enough to fill you and tastes to die for. We still went to many of the other tavernas, but came back... More

We went here especially for the stifado as previous reviews mentioned it was nice, and it was. The stifado was served with rice and chips but did not have a lot of baby onions, which suited my wife but I would have like some more, but all said it was very tasty.

This restaurant is not to miss when you ever come to Plakias. The lady of the house is always friendly, funny without overdoing it and speaks her languages (Italian, French, German, Greek, English... and whatever more. Allert and hospitality are keywords. The food is of good honest quality (try the lamb from the oven!) and the housewine is better than... More

If anyone has read my other reviews of tavernas in the Plakias/Damnoni area they may have noticed that I am a solo (70yr old now) traveller. Although I am adventurous in some ways, I also tend to stick with what I know.. but am always keen to take on board news and advice from others. Over my past half dozen... More

One of my favourites since 1987, the Lysseos is a great choice for local food and for people watching as it is right on the sea front.A lovely team (thanks to 'mama') and lovely food. The chicken curry this year was very different but delicious and the choice is great.......mousaka, meat balls, village sausages, chops...you name it...if it's Greek, they'll... More

This family-run taverna was a refreshing change to other eateries on the main street of Plakias which are less authentic. The food was fresh and delicious and we enjoyed trying some new dishes recommended by the staff there. Great all round.
