Today we ate at Al Wadi restaurant and really enjoyed it. As someone who barely eats meat I had the Al Wadi Specialty (vegetables cooked in tomato sauce with a side dish of delicious rice) and my friend had for the first time in his...life Mansaf, a traditional Jordanian dish of sheep in a Joghurt Sauce, and told me he was “in heaven”. Tea came on the house and was served with sage, which gave it a great taste. To top it all of, we got a gift of fresh sage leaves to take home with us. In terms of atmosphere, I liked the old black and white photos of Petra and its inhabitants, giving the place a really nice flair. I recommend to anyone who visits Petra to have dinner here. Special thanks to our waiter Jeef who made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay.More

I stopped at this resturant accidentlly and I enjoyed the best vegetarian food in Petra and very friendly staff. I liked very much lentile soup, humus and tabuleh salad. I also liked the bread (pita) which was cooked in the oven of the restaurant and...it was fresh and delicious.More

Being in Petra for one night we made it our mission to sample the best local cuisine. After a recommendation from our hotel to come here (and here only), we came and had the best meal. Although all the serving staff were brilliant, Mohammad, the...front of house, was very generous, welcoming and made sure we felt very special. This included inviting us to the oven to make our own bread with the help of chef Hassan. For dinner we had the Mansaf and Maqlooba which were delicious and some of the best food we’ve had during our travels in Jordan. The juices and baklava were also ace and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to sample a truly authentic experience, with great service as well as a top spot for people watching during your trip to Petra!More

Honestly, you wont need a reservation. The restaurant is large, and we noticed that they have a second floor as we were leaving. If you want to make a reservation, though, call them.
