6 of us went here for a pint on way back from Eastbourne air show. The three men in our group enjoyed the beer, from the long man brewery. We are all hop growers and know a good beer when we have one. We sat out side in the garden area at the back, enjoyable

My boyfriend and I ate here mid week in June. The food was of good quality, very well presented but I felt it was a little overpriced if I'm honest. My partner had the lamb cutlets which were succulent and tasty, I had a Mediterranean risotto burger with tapenade and warm pitta bread which was delicious, just my kind of... More

The pub is undoubtedly very nice and the village charming: the whole arrival offers a lot. Nice interior, attractive bar and a spacious pleasant garden. So far so good. We ordered starters and a main course and, when I asked how long the starters would be, I was told 20 minutes, which anyway seemed a bit long. After 35 minutes... More

Enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch with a group of six other friends. The local roast lamb was excellent. Washed it down with an excellent pint of Long Blonde bitter.

We ordered drinks at the bar and were told we could sit anywhere without cutlery already on the table. We chose to sit near the door with a slight breeze. Unfortunately the... More

We had dinner in here after a very long walk! It was very busy as it was quiz night but there was a lovely atmosphere and it wasn't too noisy that we couldn't talk. Our food was great with a very special mention for the Green Pesto, Pea and Smoked Mozzarella Risotto - very good. Been here a few times... More

Arrived at 2.50 (lunch advertised as 12-3) to be told kitchen closed. Sandwiches/ploughmans were served but seemed a bit rustled together. The manager made us feel like we were putting them out.
