Finally got to visit Tyrellspass Castle, it has been on my list of spots to visit for a while. I visited with a large group of about 20. We had a private room so I didn't see the rest of the castle. It seemed very...More

We spent one night in a B&B in this (nice and green) part of Ireland, and we tried the Castle Restaurant for dinner. WIth our young children, this kind of place is convenient, as quite informal and with some space. Our noisy children had (too)...More

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to Galway from Rublin. It was easy to get to with lots of parking. It was a cozy little restaurant. The food and coffee were very good and served up quickly which made my 2 kids very...More

Had dinner here recently as part of a group of 8 adults and 2 kids. The menu had a good variety of food for all tastes. Kids menu dinner would be enough for some adults. I had the steak which was done perfectly. Service was...More

Six of us enjoyed a very good meal at this restaurant, coupled with good service and good wine. The restaurant was very busy and our conclusion was that it also received good local trade as well as visitors to the area.

Stopped off en route from Dublin to Galway. Met by wonderful waiting staff. The two Margarets are fabulous and gave the warmest welcome. Good traditional menu and food was delicious. The roast beef dinner nearly beat me! Highly recommended!!

A group of us stopped here while traveling from Dublin for a pre-arranged tea. We were served out of this world scones. Great place to stop in for a rest stop. It is an old castle and loved the atmosphere.

Great wings, lovely fish, smashing chicken. Sides were huge. Hard to finish but managed it. At the end of the day it's tasty food in an actual castle!! Newd I say more.

Solid, reasonable food, and lots of it. Lots of atmosphere. Wonderful service. Definitely a great place for a Sunday dinner (and probably just as good at other times).

Had the early bird menu, €25 each. Good value and lovely stir fry. Waiter was excellent and the setting is really nice. Fine place. Bit warm inside though.

The menu had lots of meals listed, so there was a wide choice available but, as I went for a traditional roast (meat) dinner, I didn't pay much attention to other options, sorry.
