I went with a friend for lunch and from the moment you arrive at the place, the view and the Del Mar breeze welcome you. We chose a table facing the sea and the super friendly hosts immediately assisted us. While we waited (which was a very short time) a cute dog accompanied us with her joy. The drinks arrived and the atmosphere was very fluid and relaxed.
Good atmosphere, good food and beautiful view.
PS: In low season, they allow you access to the pool for a consumption of RD$1,000.00 in the restaurant. You must bring your towel.

Am been coming to hotel millennium as a guest for vacation and I’m so happy to see the same staff that know me by the name and remember my order from last year! The restaurant just passed a renovation upstairs with a new roof, I like the fact that they grow their own mint and basil for the kitchen and drinks. Food is delicious you can’t go wrong with the tapas. The place is a bit expensive for the area but is generous portions you can get a chicken pinchos and another tapita probably be full! I came to Yalla multiple times for lunch, a drink at the bar to watch sports games, and dinner. The ambiance is relaxing, with the view of the ocean and the pool, and the tasty food and excellent service strengthening the experience. It's also a great spot to eat after your kite surfing lesson, and the wifi allows you to keep working on your laptop from the restaurant - My top place for my next visit.

We first went to Yalla several years ago in its old cramped location and loved the food and atmosphere. Have now been to its new gorgeous location at the Millenium four or five times hoping to find some of its original magic, but it is always dead at dinner, the food is mediocre, at best,and is expensive. This was the last time. The food took forever - there was only one other table in the restaurant - and it all came together - its a Tapas Bar for goodness sake! The food itself was uninspiring, however, the service was personable (although waiting until the end of the meal to say they were not accepting credit cards was annoying.)
The place is in need of an active owner/manager who cares about the business....

Very overpriced with mediocre food and a disorganised service. At least four different waiters served us, dishes arrived randomly over an hour long period and one was only produced after four reminders and a 90 minute delay. The tables were rocky and uneven and because of this a wine glass spilled - we were charged for it to be refilled even though we pointed out to two waiters that the tables were not stable. The food was nothing special. In retrospect i would have avoided the overpriced tapas and just eaten a decent bowl of pasta.

I wish you mentioned few facts with your review.
— you arrived group of 8 without making reservation with a group of 4 kids that we attended first and we served them their order first. You were with your back to the kids maybe you didn’t paid attention to that factor. also the fact the kids went to play at beach unattended and there was a moment while they were screaming made us go and check this. yes indeed created chaos.
— you missed the fact that one of the kids who ran into your table was surprised you and the wine spilling occurred. Our table have adjustable leg that purchased specifically for this they maybe got knocked off or moved.
— the fact the 4 waiters approached to your table too ensured if everything is in order and you guys satisfied, the only issue brought by one of gentleman’s in the table that he missing dressing for the salad which we provided him less then 2m. Only issue brought actually from you which I remember vividly that you kept going about the wine spilling and the table and asked for a refill (after the 3rd glass) which i explained priority how precisely happened.
Our food price didn’t change 2 years. You ordered a dish of arepas 2 veggie 2 chicken (400RD) and beer batter coliflor (290RD) if that overpriced I apologize I didn’t meet your expectations.

Chose Yalla based on the high ratings and because we love tapas. Great location and ambience. Service was very attentive and really could not have been better however the food was very underwhelming.
Anchovies were made to sound like they might actually be fresh but were out of a can/jar and consequently the very salty variety. The beer battered cauliflower was crispy but the batter lacked taste and seasoning, the dip served with it just about rescued the dish. Chicken skewers were tasty but were a little dry/overcooked. Thigh meat would have worked better than breast meat. Meatballs were also tough/overcooked. Noticed a lot of lean red meat here in the DR so introducing more fat eg. mixing in some pork would have made for a more authentic Italian style tender meatball.

am glad to see that the service you received was attentive and as you said can’t be better and the fact you liked the ambiance.
am disappointed to see the food underwhelmed you, but its disappointing to see it seems you want to impose your recipes on our long run dishes. Let me be clear about the anchovies -in the dish description it’s mentioned super clear that the anchovies are cured - it seems you did research before arriving to our establishment, cured anchovies are salty in the process I invite you to check this out.
About the beer batter cauliflower again - if you were telling me the cooks burnt your cauliflowers it will be unacceptable and I will understand the poor rating. But seasoning it’s a choice. For years we sparkled a kosher salt on them and served with lemon and tartar sauce one of our best selling dishes. same story with the meatballs and chicken pinchos looks like more personal taste of the cuts. The menu specifically says which cut each dish made from. Since we proud ourself being Israeli owned and we have a lot Israeli and Jewish clientele we not mixing dishes with beef and pork to accommodate my country fellows as well.
Dear Robert, I invite you to come back and check our rest tapas menu ask the staff to call me I will go out of my way to find you pork and a grade of meat with more non saturated fat. will to cook your meatballs separately to cater you :)

I make a point to visit Yalla every time I am in cabarete. Located in The Millenium Hotel, Yalla is welcoming whether you stay in this beautiful hotel or not. The tapas are delicious and original, reflecting the owners culinary experience in Israel. It is difficult to identify a favorite, but the fresh tuna tartar is hard to beat. In addition to the delicious food, the staff at Yalla make us feel like family every time we are there. David and the crew go out of their way to make you feel at home. I have been guilty many times of staying many hours after my meal, enjoying the beautiful view, marveling at the skill of the hundreds of kite boarders and planning how to quit my job and move to Cabarete permanently. I tried to get David to consider opening a restaurant in Dallas but he is perfectly content delivering premium first class Mediterranean cuisine to expats and locals in cabarete. The only problem with spending time at Yalla is you won’t want to go home. See you soon Yalla!!!

Friday nights at Yalla, located at Millennium Resort & Spa has been a long standing tradition with my group of friends and whoever else may be visiting Cabarete at the moment. The new beachside location offers a fun, friendly, relaxed vibe with an absolutely stunning beach view! The tapas menu has something for everyone, my personal favorites are chicken pincho, cauliflower bites, and avocado salad. Yalla is more fun with more people giving you the opportunity to sample and share all of their menu items and ending your meal with an order of churros! Yalla has a great group of dedicated staff who are attentive and knowledgeable resulting in a great dining experience. I always recommend Yalla , you should go!!!

We're summer residents in Cabarete but were worried about going to restaurants this summer during the global pandemic. We found out that Yalla delivers, so we have ordered and tried everything vegetarian that we, and they, could think of. We LOVE the veggie burger ciabattas, and the beet hummus (hummus roja), and they kindly stuff the arepas with vegetables for us instead of cheese, and have made various roll-ups with only veggies: Wonderful! Great value, too, and great service. Now I just send them our order in a WhatsApp text, easy peasy: great food and super convenience (and safety) for us.

always a pleasure being at yalla at cab beach!!
if you're just taking a stroll on the beach, or trying to figure out a good place to eat/drink at, then yalla is definetly one of the tops and cabarete
it's located on a very nice beach location,
you literally have the carribean ocean at your top view,
food is amazing. with comfortable prices
the staff are super nice
david the owner is hilarious always fun to hang around with!!
relaxed atmosphere
and dogs are mostly welcomed
Also, you can watch world class pro kiters as you chill there, since they are kiting and practicing there everyday... and even go for a session yourself if you are already a kiter!!
or if interested in learning kiting, there is a great school just right next to yalla.

I have stayed at the hotel more than a few times and have enjoyed my experience each I have stayed at the resort. The owner,management and staff are the best. They will great every one with smile and always ask what do you need from food to drinks The restaurant has great food from breakfast to dinner. Easy access to Sousa and Puerta Plata. The rooms are clean. East access to the beach and restaurants along the beach

The food, staff, and environment is truly excellent at Yalla. I took my whole extended family and there was something tasty for everyone - even the pickiest ones. Well-priced small plates make for great sharing, socializing and trying new things. And the setting is hard to beat!

had to admit it a rare and odd menu but on spot, I really had a blast when the served the churrous with BEETROOT ICE CREAM first impression was omg well worth it.
we have been there in last Saturday was pretty busy they were proud to show around a wild-caught tuna that one of the local fishermen caught. I liked that. we tried the eggplant roll-ups and the beer-batter cauliflower we had the special croquetas,
ask if they have the special of lobster mac & cheese they pretty expensive but well worth it.

The owner was super nice and we had a great time. The food was amazing and so for the staff's service. The restaurant has the most beautiful view at beach front with an infinity pool at your feet. The prices were very good as well with a diverse menu with many options to choose from

The appetizer list at this restaurant was phenomenol and had some unusual pairings that worked very well. One could have only appetizers for their meal and be satisfied. We of course had main courses which were very well prepared. The servers were very friendly and engaging. A very positive experience. The setting was beachfront and beautiful when the sun set.
