Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hello Stefan, Thank you very much for your time, Your visit has given our students the opportunity to practice and it is always a pleasure to receive feedback like yours. Hope to see you soon

Why are people so mean in their feedback? I have been eating at this training school for several years and one must understand that it is a 'school' for underprivileged Thai ethnic kids. Everything is out of their comfort zone and they are also learning...English as their third language. Portions are small but delicious (fine dining), service is excellent and price is relative to costs. How can you complain meal cost of less than $10 a head. Yes, it is off the beaten track and yes, you might have to get a taxi for the 5kms each way trip for less than $3. If this does not suit, then go to the noodle cart. Good luck guys as you progress towards your internships in many of the 5* hotels around Thailand (Chaing Mai, Bangkok, Phuket).More

Excellent time spend in this restaurant of the Mae Sot Hôtel School, which has delighted us, both by the attentive service of promising students and very attentive, as well as by well presented dishes and tasty. There are two menu, Quiche Lorraine, Pork à l'orange...and Neapolitan Baked Alska for only 295 baths The Thai menu , Deep Fried Fish Tom Is Kai, Khao Phad Nham Liap and Mango pudding. Come taste. The young students at HCTC are the staff at the Passport restaurant, and they do an amazing job. The food is amazing and the prices reasonable. They change the menu's every week, which makes it even more interesting.

Students cooking and serving. It’s nice and a welcome diversion after a hard day’s work! The French menu offers some food you will have missed when you’ve been there a while.

The passport is a social project teaching young refugees and Thai different aspects of the food service industry. On weekends, the very dedicated young people cook and serve a Western and a Thai menu in a very nice setting at very reasonable prices. You can...watch the preparation of the food through a large window from the restaurant and there is a comfortable small cocktail bar. The service and the food are excellent. In addition, it is a great pleasure to see how proud the trainees are and how much they enjoy the applause they get. You can see that every cent you spend there is a great investment in the future of these young people. The place is a bit tricky to find but there are some signs that will prevent getting lost. In addition to the restaurant they also offer accommodation as bed and breakfast. For people having there own transportation, this can be a comfortable and good value alternative to the downtown guesthouses. We wish the project good luck and great support by everybody!More

The staff were welcoming and very professional, obviously trained to a high level of service. The restaurant itself is beautiful, furnished nicely and clean. You can see the chefs busy cooking through the glass window as you sit and eat. The three courses served were...all delicious and good value for money, although the fish for the main course was small. An overall great dining experience, well worth the money and a feeling of indulgence!More

We had an amazing night of high end French cuisine as students from both Passport and a visiting French Hospitality school collaborated on one of the most fine dining menus I have ever had in Mae Sot and one that matched the high end restaurants...in Bangkok. We had six courses (included the much lusted after cheese course!) and each outdid the other. Flavours were great, the learning Passport student staff where tested and survived on a full service. It's a special occasion, thoroughly enjoyable and a great way to support and experience the students hard work and learnings. Well worth the effort to locate and get there and the cause. Go enjoy and roll those full bellies home!More

Checked the restaurant and opening time on Facebook. Facebook stated the restaurant was open until 9 pm. We drove 4 km from our hotel and reached the restaurant at 7.30 pm and it was closed. It is quite out of the way so very dissapointing...to drive this far to just arrive and discover the restaurant chose to close and they did not bother to at least update their Facebook about being closed that day......More
