Visited in 2017 after an excursion to the Taal Volcano. The renewed July 1, 2021 outbreak and the heartbreak that it brings to the people in Tagaytay spurs me to finally recommend Antonio’s. I do hope the restaurant survives this challenge once again. As I...understand it, it’s an institution in the region.
For me it was a perfect respite from the bustle of Manila - nestled in green surroundings, open and airy spaces, attentive people and good food!
All around a very pleasant excursion!More
Went here with my boyfriend to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary. Going there was quite a long drive but since it was one of popular restaurants in Tagaytay, we got it a try and definitely it was a good one!
Place is very romantic, staffs were...all accommodating. Steaks are good, with a good plating. Elegant Hotel, we will surely be back for our another anniversary date.More
The place was really nice , very elegant , service was also really good , they were very attentive ! The place is perfect for a romantic evening .
The Menu is also nice and it has a good mix of dishes .
We order...3 appetizers , and the 40 days aged ribeye for 2 people tht it came with salad , soup and dessert .
The appetizers were really nice , good quality , good taste ! However they arrived like 4 min after ordering ( no giving time to taste our drinks ) so I had to ask to hold on the food as I did not want all to come so quick ….
The desserts were really nice ! Like this was the highlight of the night ! I am not a sweet tooth person ! So this means a lot !
I was disappointed because for the price we paid ! We expect the steak for 2 to come cooked to perfection ! I order medium and the outside of the steak it was hard overcooked and the middle was red raw ….. so it was not cooked to my expectations ! Also it had a huge bone so we hardly had 2 small peaces each of meat … because the rest was fat because I know is a ribeye and is fatty ! However our cut maybe wasn’t the lucky one of the night . The meat around the bone was so hard that I could not pull it off the bone !
I had an enjoyable evening but the main course was disappointed and it was suppose to be their best seller ! Reason why we choose it .
I did provide the feedback but I believe the waiter did not inform the chef at the spot .More
I had my 45th bday done at antonio’s last night... it was quite a drive from our place in Fairview... but they didn’t fail to amaze me... from the guard who speaks english confidently to the servers who are very helpful and knows everything from...the food to the place they work at. The drive was worth it because of the refreshing dalandan juice we had as we settled in our table... the appetizers were enough to be called main dishes as they were served big and delicious... we had champagne and reds... for the main we had tomahawk good for 5 and lamb good for 3 pax... and all are paired with either rice, potatoes or greens, we were shocked that staffs came from all direction for our main... when asked, they said that its the first time that they will do a carving table beside the customers done by none other than their chefs... bravo!!! Need i say more for the desserts, coffee and tarragon tea to flush down everything? All are put together just right for the pallette... superb ches tony boy... who by the way greeted every customer and took a time for a photo op with us... thank you for an unforgetable experience...More
My sister had treated us for a New Year 2020 lunch at this magnificent place. It was drizzling at that time and the place, I tell you, it was so relaxing, cool and very modest.
Food & Beverage team are well uniformed. Food was amazing!...We had Antonio's Trio, Roasted Duck Breast and Steamed Chilean Sea Bass. Veggies are so fresh, Quinoa Salad, Baked Burrata with phyllo and Duck Sampler are to die for.
Lastly, for a sweet tooth like us, we dig into their unique Ice Cream such as Salt & Pepper Caramel, Basil & Honeyed Pine Nuts, Rum, dates & Pecan, Roasted Pistachio. We have had Mixed Fruit Pavlova.
It was my first time in Antonio's and I surely recommend this fine dining restaurant. Will surely come back whenever I travel to the Philippines!More
Maybe im just a little spoiled. everyone and their grandma hypes this place up... i will not talk about the menu selection since i came here for an event so the menu was pre- chosen.....but to my understanding, what was served are all from their...regular menu..... was it delicious? yes...well not all of them are hits? but you can say the same about pretty much every restaurant... it would be unreasonable to expect EVERYTHING in the menu to be great.... that said? some were good or some needs improvement.... lets go with that.... why is it rated so low? well.... here's the thing.... i like deconstructed food... it shows a LOT of creativity.... but in the heart of it all? once you mix together a deconstructed food, what you get is the regular food.... maybe presented slightly differently.... deconstruction is basically just that.... its a critique and a presentation of the food at the same time... maybe im right, maybe im wrong..... but unfortunately, for this place? they might have deconstructed it so much that the flavors didnt' really meld back together like they are supposed to.... don't get me wrong... like the chilean grilled fish is GREAT in every possible way..... but that salad... forgot the name of... i rather not think about it.... that was awful.... the veggies are all super fresh.... but because of how they "deconstructed" it? there was nothing but strange taste all around, and bitterness everywhere else.... all in all? i will remember the event i came to this place for..... the food? i'd forget about it by tomorrow.... its not only not special.... its not even mildly memorable.... like i said..... unpopular opinion since everyone else seem to love this place.... but i really can only give my honest opinion... i say try it at least once.... maybe this is more your thing.... but sadly, it isn't mine...More
Having lived 10 years in the Philippines, this is my first time at Antonio's.....this was my best meal ever.....the escargots and the foie gras were excellent....the beef fillet excellent, while the chocolate souffle was perfect....all this with wine, limoncello and cognac....
