We have dined at James at the Mill on a few occasions now. We are big foodies and 3-5 star dine multiple times weekly. What keeps us coming back to JATM is the chef's 5 course tasting menu which always has a number of succulent small plates that you just do not get elsewhere. This time it was an Ahi... More

I was looking for somewhere special to take my daughter for daughter's weekend. I chose this restaurant based on reviews as an excellent and unique restaurant. Based on the pictures we were also expecting a fine dining atmosphere. This restaurant was lacking any evidence of a fine dining restaurant. The service was adequate, the food was luke warm and not... More

2 couples for day after Valentines. The steaks and fish were delicious and beautiful presentation of the food. However(!). The $15 chairs were Not comfortable- I found a sales tag under mine. The chairs do not belong in this restaurant, like school chairs. Change the chairs!!

My husband reserved our valentines night dinner through Open Table for James at the Mill. I had been to this restaurant for a wedding reception back in 2002 but didn't have much recollection of the atmosphere, service or meal so I was excited to go back. We had dinner reservations for 8:30 but went about an hour early to just... More

We used to only go here for special occasions, so I had almost forgot about them. I still think they are a very nice, fine dining choice for the area. The pork entree I had was delicious and my spouse's fish was cooked to perfection. But we went for my birthday, so I was a little disappointed when both of... More

We stopped for a quick meal as we traveled through the area. WOW! Great atmosphere & phenomenal flavors! We had the ribs & pork chop. Both were excellent. The teas were great AND they have mojitos for $5 on Tuesdays. One of the best!

I have heard about this restaurant for years and had always wanted to go so my beau decided to treat us to a special new years eve dinner. The moon was just a sliver and the signage directing you to the restaurant parking/entrance is not lit so we drove around a bit before we found our way. Fortunately we had... More

We were visiting friends who wanted to treat us to a fine dining experience. The room was beautiful and the service terrific, but everything else was a bust. We had an early reservation, and accordingly, you can't blame the poor food preparation on a busy or backed up kitchen. I ordered duck off the tasting menu so you would expect... More
