Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the fish and chips and clams and chips.
My hubby is not a big seafood eater but he cleaned his plate!
The BEST of both compared to any others on our trip including Shediac clams.

This small restaurant on the old Nova Scotia Trunk Road has become one of our favourite seafood stops. On numerous visits, the clams and fish and chips could not be faulted. The clams were, on every occasion, among the best on the South Shore. Chowder and desserts we have had are always good as well.
This place also serves the locals as a small grocery and liquor store so seating in the restaurant is really limited and while this is not a problem in late September in the off-season, the quality of the food would ensure a shortage of seat availability in the summer. Return visits are a must.

The Seascape was recommended by locals I met at a gift shop nearby who particularly recommended the Chowder. The Chowder came with the most flavourful silken broth and lots of seafood. It also came with a big white fluffy yeasty smelling melt in your mouth dinner roll which was to die for. Wonderful waitstaff made my visit on a dull cool day a treat.

The Seascape has become one of our new favourites. The seafood is excellent, I especially enjoy the clams and my husband loves the fresh haddock. On weekends, in the summer, you may want to make a reservation. This is a small restaurant with limited seating, but well worth the visit. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is licensed if you would like to indulge with your meal.

We love going there, so affordable and quaint. Staff are so friendly and the portions are large. Not a large place, so cozy! BYOWine, via the NSLC right in the building...corking fee is reasonable. We go at least 2-3 times per season. Restaurant closes over winter.

This very friendly and straightforward little restaurant was a pleasant find on our way back from Carter's Beach. The fried fish platter was very nice and the service staff was very attentive. A great experience! There is even an NSLC in the back so you can stock up your airbnb fridge with wine for that amazing sunset on the water. We'll stop by again and definitely recommend this place to friends!

Hidden and gem are words often used in travel reviews, but here they couldn't be more appropriate. Hidden in this case means the new Hwy. 103 bypass of the community of Port Mouton doesn't allow you to go by Seascapes. Take exit 21 to route 3 the true Lighthouse Trail, make a right a short distance to Seascapes. This is a multiple purpose small rural business combining a tiny dinner, convenience store and NS liquor store.
Now for the awesome food! Having heard and read very positive reviews my wife along with five friends made a reservation for dinner. Reservations are highly recommended as there are only half a dozen tables and truly it's popular, note it does close at 8pm. Being a true Marrytimer I've had my fair share of clams and I can say these were the best I've had, light batter, very well cooked, homemade tartar ,excellent slaw and large portion. My friends had various other seafood dishes, the pan fried 'best haddock dinner on the South Shore' lived up to it's acclaimed reputation, the deep fried scallop dinner was delicious and fish cakes a Nova Scotian favourite are right up there with my top three. The two young servers were very professional, sweet and happy to see customers enjoy themselves.
Do Not miss trying out one of Nova Scotia's best seafood restaurants period ! It's a small rural spot, but for fresh tasty seafood it can rival most other much larger restaurants. Not to mention touring a beautiful coastal highway rt. 3 right into Liverpool.

Then you understand why at the weekends locals make reservations here! The Boss gets up at five am to make pies, negotiate for her fresh fish, bakes, and preps! In the evening she runs the restaurant, plus the liquor store and a tiny conveniencestore. She gets help from sweet local waitstaff.
You go home with a belly full of great homemade fare, and a feeling you should have paid at least half as much again. Hurry, Seascape is only open in the summer months.

My family parked for I thought was going to be a quick stop to a convenience store for some snacks… But there was also a restaurant there and some of us decided to eat there others decided to wait to go into a restaurant in Lunenburg, which is bigger town.
I had a piece of coconut cream pie and it was incredible. Some of my other family members ordered real meals and enjoyed them very much. The service was great. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it has no ambience to speak of. Nevertheless I would definitely go back and eat there again.

A small roadside house that's been in the family since the 1780s, now a tiny restaurant with the best Fish and Chips I have ever had. A very, very light batter on delicious fish!

This is a cozy restaurant with great home made buns, tasty fish and chips and good coleslaw. Enjoy a nice Keith's Beer to wash it down with. The schnitzel and potato pancakes are also enjoyed at this eatery.

Get the haddock and chips--light and crispy; tasty fries; fresh baked pie with ice cream; clean restrooms. The back room with two tables is perfect for a family. All together, a great welcome to Nova Scotia, half way from Yarmouth to Halifax.
