Very friendly service and good food for reasonable price. There were, I think, a local group of people celebrating while we went there, always a good sign. Food was good, we took pasta and goulash and both were very nice. Cozy atmosphere.

Imaginative toppings, definitely not at all stingy. Will split toppings on a single pizza which is as well as even after a massive walk, my wife and I were not able to finish a single pizza. Friendliest service in Argentina to date.

This was a very nice restaurant with a beautiful setting. A beautiful dining room with lots of atmosphere. The food we had was excellent and we very much enjoyed the experience.

For the quality you get in this town, I'd say this is a great bet for your money. We ate at 3 restaurants in El Chalten. In terms of value for the money, I would say Ruca Mahuida was the best, then El Muro, and with La Tapera trailing pretty far behind. I base it on the fact we got... More

We looked up the menu of this restaurant in our nearly located Hotel Destino Sur and decided to try it for a dinner, as the choice seemed attractive. The restaurant is situated in a very nice garden and once inside, it impresses as a cozily set home dining room. We chose a trout and a lamb course, both excellent, but... More

Probably the most culinary restaurant in el chalten. Very, very nice staff, but the kitchen just tries too hard to make the food as complicated as possible with sauces and foames (cognac foame on a green salad?) that don't add to the flavour or the look of the dish. Please keep it more simple. Meat and fish are cooked well.

From beginning to end, this restaurant offered unusual combinations of flavors in every course: soup, salad, entree and dessert. Very creative and successful. Expensive but worth it.

Surprised to find classy sophisticated restaurant menu on the house. Priced accordingly. Beyond a bar of bistro level. Fresh. Love the lamb spareribs and mixed starter of smoked trout, venison, etc. Quiet ambience. Value overall.

This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner of El Chalten (Lionel Terray 55, one block back front he main street). Located in one of the few older buildings with loads of character it is worth a visit. The food was excellent. A great selection of local dishes and ingredients. As usual, in these parts, the servings were sizeable.... More
