We was in Chalten in april for some trekking. The hotel's staff recommended this place, so we went to "El muro". Is a small place with several tables, has a quiet, small-town atmosphere. They have a great menu with great variety of dishes. I recommend all the empanadas , especially the lamb ones. The stakes are very nice and trout... More

I don't know why this place isn't rated higher. It was very consistent in quality food. I came here on 4 separate occasions. The grilled vegetables, the steak, their grilled pizza, their beer and wine selection was fantastic and at a very reasonable price. Their location is at the end of the main strip. Worth the extra 5 minute walk.... More

A recommendation from our hotel. The chorizo sausage was outstanding. A steak came out underdone but the staff did not fuss and it was perfect when it came back to the table. For the quality this place is very well priced.

Small restaurant at the fat end of the town of El Chalten offers GREAT food on reasonable prices. The specialty is Paragomina lamb on grill. The beef asado is juicy, tender. You do not need a reservation of you go there before 8pm, else you have to wait for a free table. The restaurant opens at noon sharp for lunch.

We had a cordero al asodor. It was very nice and well cooked . Portions are not that big but OK. We had home made flan with dulce de leche and this was amazing.

The little restaurant is very nice and simple, familiar warm atmosphere, you can be asked to share the table with others, if you sit on big tables, which i find very nice. The environment is casual but stays quiet, you can have some privacy and talk, is not too noisy or too crowded. At lunch is half-empty because people is... More

Dropped in for a very nice meal. Cosy ambience, friendly service, great food - not "cheap and cheerful" but pretty reasonable and great value. I enjoyed a bife de chorizo w red peppers and onion. Very tasty and reasonably sized (unlike the usual giant Argentinian bbq). My wife enjoyed trout and vegetables and she finished it enthusiastically. Best thing was... More

This place was recommended by our B&B host...and we can't thank her enough! This was the first restaurant we tried on our first day at El Chalten and we enjoyed every moment. We had the cordero and bife de lomo. The cordero delicious and paired great with beer. The bife de lomo was grilled beautifully and was so tender and... More
