Good choice of modern food - we enjoyed a haloumi wrap with sweet potato fries and the chicken and leek soup. All very tasty and fresh. Staff were very friendly, providing good service.

Visited cafe with my partner. Couple of quick toasties and a portion of sweet potato and garlic mayo dip and we were set for the day. Toasties were lovely, full of cheese and "proper" ham on the bone ham. Would go back for toasties. The smell of deep fat frying was bit off putting but apart from that the place... More

A really good little cafe if you only need a snack or a tasty light lunch. Overall good value for money. Clean and well maintained. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful welcome for our group of 4 adults, 1 youth, and 3 dogs when we called in for refreshments on our visit to Castle Douglas. When visiting Castle Douglas my wife and I decided to try the Mad Hatters for our breakfast.We had the flying start it was simply delicious and the sausages were the best we have ever tasted.The staff were very helpful and polite and would certainly recommend eating there.

Popped in here on a very wet Saturday lunch time. It was my 1st visit to Castle Douglas. We all had soup which was simply served but very tasty and definitely homemade. My family & I go to the Mad Hatters every time we go to Castle Douglas, the service is always fast & friendly. The food is great & is reasonable quick, I recommend this place to everyone.

Great family visit large variety on menu from snacks to main meals.Also specials on boards around cafe.Try the soup and baguette combo great value for money the chicken and leak soup was excellent.Also a very good kids menu all priced at £2:75.Fast efficient service
