We visited Tisbury when our sister moved there, it's a picturesque and great little place with a host of country pubs, independent shops and friendly locals. It was when we decided to venture up the high street, that we found The Boot Inn, a small pub that looked old but perhaps a hidden gem? yup, bad idea.. Whilst country pubs... More

Quite nice pub. Larger 4.35 for normal larger. Wine better at 17.50 a bottle better. Starter fish cake not much taste. Both Rib eye stakes very average. Pork chop and veg and mash was good overall nothing to write home about, on what we chose.

Very attentive. Basic pub food. Small old fashioned pub. Pizzas looked excellent. Must be good in summer when garden accessible.

Fab food. Fab service. Brilliant family run pub. Set in the lovely surroundings of Tisbury and the Nadder Valley.

If you pass through Tisbury, do not miss this pub. The atmosphere and staff are amazing. Local ales flow but the pickled eggs are amazing.

Lovely setting, warm welcome, good, good food. It was a joy to visit, and only wish I could have stayed long enough to eat some more food. It is worth making a special trip to eat there.

Amazing!!! Simply amazing! Beer, food, terrace and charming gentlemen (probably the owner)! We planned to drink only one beer, but stayed for three hours, and probably would stay longer if not the last train to London. If I ever be back in this nice town, I would definitely come to that place again again and again!

I love the Boot and always have. It was the first pub we tried out in 1991 when we first became incomers! We were made welcome then and we still are. Ron and Ruth and family always give the warm and familiar hospitality you'd expect from guardians of the village. Ever since Eldridge Pope brewery folded or disappeared or whatever... More

This pub probably needs no recommendation as it must be renowned but I had such a good supper there I have to add to the accolades. As I avoid wheat & dairy and don't eat meat, I generally find it quite difficult at a pub to pick anything other than jacket potato. Fish pie was on the menu but with... More
