Called for a lite lunch, I had egg mayo bagget with side salad and Earl Grey tea, Tony had Prawn Bagget with side salad and a Latte. Both meals very good, friendly staff and good service.

this pub/café doesn't know what it want to be is it a café or a pub its certainly not a restaurant. The beautiful village of Lacock deserves better than this. I remember going to this pub 20 years ago and it was lovely. So disappointed. If you want a cup of tea with a cheap meal you wont be disappointed... More

It was the worst meal I have ever had! I took my clients there for a lunch. Everything were dissapointed: how the food looks, taste, service, inside of the pub. I feel myself very embarrassed for taking people there.

Decided to visit Lacock for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. Saw the Carpenters Arms and thought it looked like a cosy, family friendly pub, upon entering we were pleasantly surprised that there were quite a few empty tables (this should have been a sign). Despite both the decor and menu appearing to have not been changed since the 1980's we... More

I popped in here today to grab some lunch , it felt very dark and dated but I was in a hurry to get back to work. The young waitresses were super friendly and I feel sorry that they have to work there (if your reading this girls there are other jobs out there, get out!) The management team (the... More

I often look at other reviews before I post and I'm a bit puzzled by my totally opposite opinion to recent negative ones. Now I can't comment on the state of the toilets as I didn't use them but I can comment on the staff, the food and the atmosphere. Here is my take. We entered and were told to... More

The pie was good but the toilet (male) was really dirty and smelly; truly awful. What a pity. This left us feeling put off and slightly nauseous.

The manager/landlord was abrupt, eventually ordered food and drinks , the three waitresses/ bar staff , chatted amongst together while there was a long cue of customers , the food was awful and tasteless, never had we onion rings before , the land lady was very pleasant and tried her best One drink sparkling water arrived in a Sainsbury's bottle... Visited the Carpenters Arms this afternoon for family lunch after a walk around Lacock. First impressions not great, VERY dated, felt like I was sat in my nans front room. We sat down and had a look through the menu and went up to order at the bar, where the very rude, abrupt gentleman (manager) said that we've clearly snuck... More
