I took my brother and sister-in-law for lunch yesterday. I've been going to Housman's since it opened and have always had lovely food and really good service. Yesterday was a disappointment. When we arrived, on time for our reserved table, we were completely ignored for...More
A restaurant / wine bar with nearby pay parking (unless you are lucky parking free in the square opposite) the food is always excellent with prompt and friendly service. This tends to be my 'celebratory meal' venue in Church Stretton, especially if there are vegetarians...More
Welcoming bar/restaurant with a nice 'feel' to place. Quite an extensive menu but it did seem rather confused, offering dishes from all over the place. We went to try the grazing menu with tapas style dishes and were not disappointed. Staff efficient and friendly.

Creative menu that delivers great tasting food. The only downside is the ambient noise can be very loud especially if people are stood at the bar drinking
We stopped here on a visit to the area. We chose Housmans as we liked the sound of the food, and there was plenty of room inside the restaurant for us, and our daughter in her pram. We had the 'tapas' menu with a selection...More
