I had lunch with a good friend here. The setting is bright, light and quirky - being in a former church building I presume. The display of food is extremely colourful and there is an amazing choice. My friend and I went for a selection of salads with tortilla and the flavours were full and varied. Very generous portions and... More

Amazing warm hearted small lunch location in an old chapel (school house?). They bring plates of delicious spontaneous creations to their counter. Tell the ladies what you fancy. They bring it to the table. Snack sized portions of organic local vegetable, chicken and salads in clever combinations. We'd walked 3 miles from Russells Water. Perfect lunch break.

Ample free parking, a must for serious walkers, and easy to locate on the main road to Henley. Welcoming staff and well prepared coffee in sensibly sized mugs. The display of cakes was compelling and the ample slice of carrot cake was succulently moist and creamy. (At least four hours of hard walking to burn off the cals) Returned mid... More

Arrived at two, so probably missed the rush. The two ladies who served us were cheerful and friendly. Didn't have wait long for the food and drinks. An unusual setting in a church like building, so it's a touch noisy and echos a lot but we liked the food.

Late lunch visit with a friend. Live very close to Field Kitchen but never been before. Quirky setting in an old post office which looked like it may have been a church once? The deli dished and salads on display at the counter looked gorgeous (we were late in after 2pm so they were understandably depleted by then!) And they... More

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime and it was busy but we didn't have to wait too long for a seat. Staff were lovely - very friendly and happy to help with allergies. Fairly informal. Salad dishes were plentiful and tasty. Frittata was fabulous. Highly recommended.

You chose your food from a counter and it's brought to your table. Nearly all salad-type foods and so varied. The all-in English breakfast is better than anywhere else we've been on this Sceptred Isle. We have been coming here for four or five years now and the food is always delightful. A word of caution though: it can be... More

You stand and order from the counter and they give you your plate when you've made your choices. Also choose a drink and find a nice place to sit which may be sharing a table with others, Its great food.

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday, the cafe was busy but we managed to get a table. We went to the counter to select our food but we left waiting there for some time. We could see that the staff was busy, all we need was to be acknowledged but we were left standing there. When our order... More
