Two of us discovered this lovely pub by the harbour at Staithes recently (May 2017). What else could you possibly have to eat by the sea than Fish & Chips? LOL! Delicious food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Recommended.

Very good food, service and atmosphere in an exceptional setting by the sea (immediately next to it and sometimes in it!) The pub was very busy when we were there, but the staff coped admirably and the quality of the food (we had a crab sandwish and fish & chips) did not suffer - delicious! Good pint too! Seaside venues... More

Best position in Staithes, nice friendly busy pub. Quite good fish based menu but food was a little disappointing.

After walking from Runswick Bay, we enjoyed the sun at Lunchtime and had some seafood kebabs and a lamb shank, which was lovely and so nice in the sun in one of the most picturesque places in Britain. Staff pleasant enough and lots of dogs to keep us company!

Stayed nearby for a week and visited 3 times. Lovely, friendly staff and large range of food including three vegetarian options. Get there early as it is only small and can be packed! Dogs welcome.

We stopped for lunch and the location is great, right on the harbour with views from some of the tables and outside tables. The service was efficient and friendly despite it being very busy. We both had the same for lunch so we are reviewing based on one meal, sea bass. The vegetables were simple and cooked to be slightly... More

Staithes is a lovely little village, which we stopped in at the end of a 3.5 mile coastal walk. The Cod & Lobster is a delightful pub with friendly, welcoming staff, super food and a real fire. We would heartily recommend it and definitely come again if in the area

We booked a table for a large group to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived the table was reserved and we were soon seated. The food was excellent pub food with an obvious focus on seafood. The fish and chips were brilliant as were the seafood platter and seafood kebabs. The waitresses worked non-stop and made sure there was never... More
