Been here a few times now before the Help out to Eat out and after and always found the food very good, excellent service with a smile. Will definitely be returning, next will be to try a breakfast.

Excellent Meal, will definately visit again - soon.

We booked into Clubhouse 1896 to try out their 25% off burgers on Saturday night. So glad we did, they were excellent, really good value and big enough portions to satisfy the biggest appetite. My husband likes his food and even he struggled to eat...it all. Two 4oz burgers was probably a little to much and if next time I could swap one burger for a few chunky chips instead I would be extremely happy - will definately ask next time. There were chalkboards advertising Curry Niight on Thursdays and Fish & Chips on Fridays + some other deals. If they are as good as the burgers we had then you can't go wrong. We will definately be back very soon to possibly try something different.More

Great food, great views.

We met with family and booked a table at this gem of a find based at Ashley Wood golf club. They offer a great menu, reasonably priced and the setting is beautiful. We had a table overlooking the putting green which was lovely. The food...was excellent and the service was to match, a very professional young waitress who couldn't do enough. We'll be visiting again soon.More

Anniversary Breakfast

I booked a breakfast for my wife and I for out 31st anniversary. I asked if two portions of my wife's favourite dish could be prepared as it's not on the menu and was told yes. On the day my wife and I placed our...order from the menu as my wife had no idea of the real dish and the staff helped keep it secret until the meal arrived which helped make our day that little more special. Thanks to all for the breakfast surprise.More

Breakfast Bap

In for a Veggie Sausage bap & filtered coffee. Set up is user friendly as well as comfortable. Only pain is getting in if your a golfer you have to enter via Club main entrance door exiting is easy two doors. You can order from...the patio if you Want to sit outdoors. NOT AN ISSUE either way. Staff very helpful a must visit even in these trouble times.More

An absolutely wonderful family lunch

An absolutely wonderful meal at Ashley wood golf course and such a beautiful setting. The service from the 2 waitresses was fantastic and the food was ..... what can I say .... totally amazing!!! We will definitely be back.

Sunday Lunch

Delicious carvery at a very good price! Luscious choice of beautifully cooked vegetables, and a choice of 3 delicious roasts. Staff were very friendly, helpful and obviously are happy in their team.

Sunday lunch

Came here for a Sunday carvey. Oh my God - it's one of the best carverys I've ever had! The meat was tender, the veg was cooked just right. And unlike the likes of toby etc, it didn't look like the veg had been out...for hours on end! We had a choice of beef, pork and gammon. They had the usual Yorkshire puds, Swede, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots and the best roast bar my mums! We then managed to cram in a sweet. Absolutely amazing food! Don't be put off with this being a golf club, really friendly and welcoming.More

Breakfast

Don’t be put off by the fact this is a golf club. It’s a very relaxed and friendly environment. Plenty of parking and easy access. Staff are polite and professional. The menu is good and breakfast served until 2pm which is very convenient. Beautifully presented...freshly cooked food. I’d find it hard to fault my experience to be honest. My only advice would be if the non member trade increased then investment in a coffee machine would go down very well, and I’m Sure the members wouldn’t mind either! Thank you for a really nice experience.More

Fabulous!!!

Lovely place to go and have fantastic food. Just want to try it all!! Staff are AMAZING and so lovely. Great atmosphere and fab deals on and I will definitely be passing on the word to friends and family!!
