Visited for lunch and they served up some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. Would definitely visit again!

Excellent burgers. Massive. Much better value than the pub. Jurrassic burger (3/4 pounder with all the trimmings) and a Dino burger (1/2 pounder with all the trimmings). Lovely chips too.

Just as a good chippy should be. Everything cooked fresh which means slightly longer wait times but well worth the wait.

Perfect fresh cod and chips in very generous portions. Served with a lemon wedge and a good sized sachet of tartare sauce. The whitebait is superb.

Stopped here after the appetites had been growing with the obligatory fossil hunting walks on a wet Tuesday in February half term. Three orders placed for the Brixham haddock and chips (deemed scrummy) but sadly everyone stole my delicious whitebait! Beware, big portions and despite bring a greedy family, all were over faced...except me who had significant help with my... More

Excellent fish and food at reasonable prices. The experience is spoilt however by long waiting times. There must be ways to make service more efficient.

Also why complain about waiting on the beautiful seafront ? Where better to chill out ? We ordered cod and chips and one burger & chips... More

Acting on advice from family who live in the area, whilst down on holiday we ate fish and chips from Herbies. The guys are really helpful and friendly and the food was wonderful. We ordered fish and chips, haddock today. The fish was some of the best I have ever tasted. Huge white flakes and in a crunchy golden batter.... More

Fancied fish and chips on the hoof and stopped at Herbies Lyme Regis which is lets face it is a chippy in a shed! Ordered battered cod and chips for myself but my wife avoids flour products so tentatively asked if they could cook some cod without batter. After a little thought they said yes no problem we'll do some... More

takeaway for lunch, huge portions so two of us asked if we could share, owner kindly cut portion in half and then cooked them separately, just the right size and absolutely delicious.
